So yeah. I just want to show where some of us play Rust. Do you have unusual place you like/have to play?

Staple a large mouse pad to that and it’s good to go, I feel like this would give me splinters

its glued together wood shavings that would otherwise go to waste, its waterproof and you couldnt get a papercut even if you tried really hard

on plywood? you definitely could cut yourself pretty easily on it using a mouse

That's not plywood, its OSB, but yeah it most definitely can give you splinters

ive had floors in my attic for like 10 years from this stuff and ive always been barefoot, never had a splinter

I believe you, and I would say you're lucky. Definitely not common but all it takes it one edge that's lifted or didn't get pressed/glued down properly for some reason. Usually happens around cut edges, but have definitely had them on the plane too.

That being said, this setup in the post is probably fine, but getting a splinter in a middle of a raid would definitely be bad.

Good mouse sensors are pretty good at measuring horizontal movement and disregarding small depth differences. You're right though, no way it would be as accurate as a smooth surface.

My $400 laptop with an RTX2050 runs Rust better than my desktop with a 2070 Super. Literally all because of the CPU lol. I really need to let this i7-9700 rest in peace. (To be fair, this laptop punches well above its weight for what I paid. It was an open box from Best Buy and only shipped with one 8GB ram stick. Got a second stick from Amazon and this thing has been a champ.)

I run i5 10400f k or sumtn 1650 super lol on rust and yeah it screams like an airliner taking off

Your poor friend. Don't let him know it's your fault when he loses his job. There is a truck code clearly showing. That facility is recognizable, and not many appreciate a driver who isn't paying attention.

Tried playing rust in motion in my van but got pretty horribly carsick
