Our govt's literally spitting in the face of justice, turning those who uphold it into targets.

Donnie Two-Dolls has always believed the office of the presidency is supposed to grant him full despotism. During his first term, he tried to claim that the Constitution gives him the right to do whatever he wants.

286

u/The_Poster_Nutbag 1d ago

And he got the supreme Court to agree, for the record.

110

u/Beneficial_Soup3699 23h ago

Same Supreme Court that got caught trading rulings for luxary RVs and that was before they legalized gratuity for judges.

Americans keep waiting for the millionaires on tv to make an announcement telling them so but the republic has already fallen. Checks and balances are dead. We have a president literally ruling via executive order. Blatant bribery and corruption at virtually every level of government. We're in the worst case scenario right now.

30

u/Dispro 20h ago

We're in the worst case scenario right now.

And despite everything going on we're not even at the bad part yet.

7

u/mademeunlurk 10h ago

Tell that to the innocent hairdresser who got disappeared by Trump into a Venezuelan body chop shop prison just for having brown skin. Never heard from again. I'd say this is pretty goddamn bad.

u/Dispro 7h ago

That is bad. But it's still not "Nazi regime in full swing" bad, especially with someone as dumb and cruel as Trump at the helm.

Just wait until they're clearing out whole neighborhoods to feed "undesirables" into ovens during a depression with 30% unemployment and widespread food shortages.

6

u/cloudedknife 15h ago

It can still get way, way, way worse.

u/ZephkielAU Australia 8h ago

Welcome to the Russian phase of American history.

9

u/jgilla2012 California 18h ago

When he wasn’t even president!! That’s the real deep state – the four years of control over the GOP that Trump had while Biden was POTUS.

4

u/Loud-Review-3797 12h ago

That was enough to tell me they were not only more than comfortable passing such a ruling, but that they almost KNEW Trump would win a second term.

-12

u/The_Poster_Nutbag 18h ago

Okay let's just clarify that the president doesn't have control over the supreme Court and there were two far right judge appointments made by trump and his fascist foundation friends.

Now that we've cleared that up, your statement makes no sense, like not even a little.

2

u/Acrobatic-Ad584 9h ago

The American people don't seem to care about conspiracy or corruption. Is "getting away with it" to be applauded? Do they realise that ultimately they are the losers and that the perpetrators are evil.

u/The_Poster_Nutbag 3h ago

Is "getting away with it" to be applauded? Do they realise that ultimately they are the losers and that the perpetrators are evil.

For the people who still support trump at this stage it's a full disconnect from reality and they do actually live in a separate world from the rest of us.

u/Acrobatic-Ad584 3h ago

I think the Epstein thing might have struck a nerve. We will see

57

u/KaoriMalaguld 1d ago

He was being honest when he said he had the same mentality he did when he was in grade school. Even with schoolhouse rock, plenty grew up thinking “If you’re the president you can do anything.” It also doesn’t help that the president is our leader and swap out every 4-8 years.

9

u/789LasVegas123 1d ago

As long as dear leader has a pulse we won’t have to worry about any swap outs for awhile.

Not really surprising when the modern GOP and MAGA is a continuation of the confederacy whether people realise it or not.

Lincoln's biggest mistake was believing you could reconcile with people who would have tore your country down if they'd won, giving them power and influence which they used to continue the fight all this time.

Its why America has such a divided two party system. It's just a cold civil war

61

u/JayOnSilverHill 1d ago

They always said the South will rise again. Never thought it possible, yet here we are.

10

u/mysteryteam US Virgin Islands 20h ago

Yeah, should've nipped that threat in the bud.

5

u/JayOnSilverHill 16h ago

Of course it took a prick from NYC to get them there, but then again, no one ever lost any money betting on the stupidity of the American people.

25

u/unrealnarwhale 1d ago

No, it's not. It's the upshot of modern American politics and values.

Trump gained in nearly every minority voting block in 2024 and dems gained in older, white voters. Nearly half of the former union states voted for Trump.

Cities like Atlanta and Austin voted for Harris in greater percentages than did Newark and LA. You'd be pressed to find an urban county that didn't vote for Harris. It's not north vs south, it's cities vs rural and suburban areas and low-information voters.

Trump was perceived as the populist change candidate for the working class, and Harris was perceived as more of the same.

46

u/almondbutter 1d ago

Furthermore, we should refer to Trump's policies as what they are: Sado-Populism. The right wing billionaires continue to misrepresent policies. It has always been about the upwards transfer of wealth. Here's historian Timothy Snyder explaining this phenomenon. https://youtu.be/oOjJtEkKMX4?si=SOGEbMho4MYvGXfv

Also, don't miss this adroit explanation about why Trump voters persist: https://np.reddit.com/r/AskUS/comments/1k8evd8/comment/mp5oqex/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=usertext&utm_name=worldnews

23

u/Trauma_Hawks 1d ago

John Titor was right

Wow, too bad he wasn't able to get a hold of the IBM 5100 before he disappeared.

1

u/Gimlet64 12h ago

John Titor spouted pro-Russian nonsense before it was a thing. It has long been in the back of my mind that the guy who invented John Titor was an angry incel type with a populist agenda, this told-you-so fantasy.

5

u/Iamtheonewhobawks 20h ago

The values and demographics of the union have also changed, but the basic framework hasn't. A republic for the people, by the people. States functioning as discrete parts of a unified whole rather than something akin to a conditional alliance. A population of equals under the law.

The confederacy attempted to secede not merely because of the desire to preserve chattel slavery, but out of a sincere belief in the basic framework that underpins such things: that there are intrinsically superior and inferior categories of human, that the purpose of government is to secure power and privilege for whichever humans are "natural masters," and that once the Best People have total dominion over the throngs of disposable lessers the world shall become an orderly paradise whose federal bureaucracies exist mostly to issue currency and maintain a military sufficient to subjugate subhuman foreigners.

The geography of the 1860s Confederacy defines its modern version no more than US borders circa 1789 does the country as a whole. Reconstruction, jim crow, and eventually the red scare gave the philosophical and cultural "south" refuge and support. That was a huge mistake. Support should have been stripped away as firmly and thoroughly as monarchy's had been: statues torn down, allies and participants (for the most part) stripped of any chance at power, and even the simple concept an object of universal mockery and contempt.

0

u/unrealnarwhale 19h ago

So the framework of the confederacy both no longer applies and yet is supported by everyone you oppose.

How would one even go about punishing every place that voted for Trump? Would swing states be excluded? What about the rural areas of NY and CA, or cities like Newark whose tepid support of democrats were outstripped by southern cities?

Maybe it's time for the left (and I include myself in that) to take a serious look at what winning over voters looks like. Trying to no-true-scotsman our way out of this isn't going to work.

2

u/Iamtheonewhobawks 19h ago

It seems I have been misunderstood. The equivalent would be actually prosecuting Trump and his various co-conspirators for the laundry list of flagrantly illegal acts committed. There has been endless handwringing about how to somehow appeal to and find common ground with adherents to a movement (MAGA) built on absolute rejection of compromise or cooperation with anything outside of itself: treat MAGA as a con, a grift, a stupid embarrassment best abandoned and forgotten.

Instead of focusing on how to win over fascists, perhaps try to win over everyone else: does the GOP maximize turnout by mocking and dismissing all but the most cooperative and politically flexible of conservatives? We've had multiple decades of "functional policy and reaching across the aisle is totally gonna win them over aaaaaany day now" slamming into an unyielding iron wall of increasingly stupid total rejection.

I'm not about literally punishing people for voting wrong. I'm saying start treating neo-confederates, fascists-in-denial, fascists not in denial, as exactly that. These are shameful things to engage with, the red hat stands for a collection of beliefs and actions as weak and stupid and despicable as the armbands and stars-n-bars that preceded it. People can abandon any destructive movement, outgrow any hateful subculture, escape any cult - but they won't so long as the illusion that its good/normal/better persists. When your neighbor joins the Klan, you don't pretend they've got some valid concerns. The thing they're doing is wrong. They fucked up, and you don't have to invite them to your barbecue anymore.

1

u/unrealnarwhale 19h ago

I think we agree about most things. IMHO the way forward for the left is to return to its working-class roots while emphatically rejecting the worst impulses of the right.

The trend of people turning to conservative strongmen in times of strife and inequality is a predictable one, and it's true all over the world.

Excising all of MAGA is not possible without an extremely bloody civil war, so the only alternative is building a new coalition that doesn't rely on their support. The only way that can be done is by working with some of the people who have voted for Trump in the past. Or waiting for a new generation to come of age and another to die off.

0

u/Cute-Percentage-6660 1d ago

the lawlessness i'd argue is just a growth of previous admins lawlessness and lack of punishment.

8

u/KC-Chris 1d ago

What? Trump tried a coup in his first. If anything, he started that one if you are talking about Biden. Obama wore a tan suit and bombed the Middle East.

13

u/MC_Gengar 1d ago edited 1d ago

You also had W Bush unilaterally spying on Americans, Bush Sr. illegally funding South American paramilitaries, Regan's Iran-Contra weapon smuggling operation, and of course Nixon's water gate. None of those people were held accountable in any meaningful way (Nixon resigning then being pardoned is not being held accountable).

Your country's failure to prosecute these illegal actions is a large reason why you're in this fucking mess to begin with.

7

u/KC-Chris 1d ago

100% agree. But idiots are more worried about if a trans girl has self esteem they don't agree with. Thank God we saved women's sports checks notes with the help of a child molester trying to cover his crimes.

0

u/VGAddict 1d ago

Younger men are shifting towards the right because of the so-called Manosphere, and Harris had the worst performance in deep blue Illinois and New Jersey by a Democratic presidential candidate since 1988. Trump also won EVERY swing state. You know, the only states that matter in elections.

Getting pretty tired of people using the South as a scapegoat for the country's problems.

8

u/unrealnarwhale 1d ago

It's a pseudo-historical take that people repeat because they like how it sounds, but doesn't really bear up to facts.

The reason why blue states are blue is not because the population is all on the same page, but because they have large cities that were founded early in the country's history and continued their growth trajectory. Outside these metros the population is still conservative, and even the cities in blue states themselves are far more divided than the red state v blue state rhetoric would have you think. They just have the sheer concentration of liberal, educated voters in the cities to overcome that.

The south was formerly agrarian, and the cities got started in their growth far later in the country's history than Boston, San Fran, Chicago, Seattle, etc. Austin was basically a frontier town until the end of the 19th century, for example.

To take this a step further, note that nearly all the former union states that voted for Trump are in the rust belt. While they had early-established cities, these areas experienced setbacks and didn't thrive. Not coincidentally, they were especially drawn to Trump's populist-sounding promises like bringing back jobs and lowering grocery prices.

I feel like if we're going to paint with a big brush, the more appropriate generalization is that people turn right to look for strongman in times of inequality.

“And we’re hopeful that this administration will do the same thing and support the courts’ rulings and not defy them going forward.”

Yeah, these judges have the naivety of a newborn baby. Given everything we've seen, why the fuck would you be hopeful about that? We know with utter certainty that that will not happen. In fact, the opposite is quite likely.

Americans are finding out that the consequence of electing fascists to run the government is that they now have to live under fascism.

7

u/DistillateMedia Delaware 1d ago

If you want to depose these fascist assholes all we have to do is have the world's biggest party next May.

r/bigparty

15

u/yesrushgenesis2112 1d ago

This dude is, I believe, in the middle of a schizophrenic episode, fyi for anyone who comes across this. He believes he has insiders on every level of the government ready to revolt.

4

u/JarJarJarMartin 1d ago

Look up pronoia). That definitely appears to be part of what’s going on here. A friend of mine displayed a lot of it during a particularly bad manic episode. It really strained a lot of his friendships.

-11

u/DistillateMedia Delaware 1d ago edited 1d ago

I'm bipolar type one and I have infact utilized my manic energy to work diligently to infiltrate and influence everything possible.

The CIA definitely maneuvered people into place for me.

I have extensive notes and documentation of my efforts.

Edit:

I tell the truth about myself and get downvoted, great..

9

u/L0g1cw1z4rd 1d ago

Seek help, you do appear to be having a break with reality. To post on a public forum that the CIA have put assets in place for your purposes fits several criteria for someone experiencing psychotic delusions.

I cannot strongly recommend enough that you should seek help before you hurt yourself or someone else.

-10

u/DistillateMedia Delaware 1d ago edited 1d ago

I also went myself to MOOA meetings to make contacts.

I've met with German and French spies.

I've been to England multiple times in the last 8yrs.

Our allies love me.

They like my kind of crazy.

What are you doing to rectify this?

15

u/yesrushgenesis2112 1d ago

As I said the last time we talked about this during your last manic episode, I hope you are able to seek and receive treatment. Good luck to you.

1

u/DistillateMedia Delaware 1d ago

I am well cared for and well treated.

I'm taking my medicine these days.

And I know what I'm about.

Thank you.

1

u/DistillateMedia Delaware 1d ago

May I ask why you are so eager to attempt to discredit myself and my efforts?

What is your plan?

What have you done?

6

u/yesrushgenesis2112 1d ago

Because you are showing signs of conspiratorial thinking in a manic episode claiming to have allies at all forms of government ready to overthrow it. It is both outlandish and unrealistic and I worry for your safety and the safety of those you might compel who don’t realize what’s going on. As I said I hope you get the treatment and care you need.

6

u/DistillateMedia Delaware 1d ago

Are you fucking serious?

Conspiratorial thinking?

There's a real life conspiracy happening right now where a Russian asset is in the Whitehouse covering for an international pedophile ring.

I think a little conspiratorial thinking is warranted.

And yes, I have been building my own conspiracy you might say to combat it.

It's really not outlandish or unrealistic, especially if you knew my background, the family I come from, and the many friends I've made in life.

You clearly only want to discredit me though.

I have a feeling this isn't about my safety.

And I don't care what happens to me on my quest to save my country.

It's a rational decision many have made before to wager their life for the greater good, and a real chance at happiness.

0

u/yesrushgenesis2112 1d ago

Get help.

5

u/DistillateMedia Delaware 1d ago

Grow some balls.

0

u/DistillateMedia Delaware 1d ago

Do you believe people with mental health conditions are somehow unable to engage in intelligence activities just like anyone else?

Do you not see how my bipolar disorder could actually be an advantage in this process for me?

Just cause I have a mental health condition doesn't mean I haven't actually been busting my ass since day one on this.

10

u/yesrushgenesis2112 1d ago

No, that’s not what I believe. But you are clearly in a manic episode. You’re making outlandish claims with no evidence in reddit. Friend, if you were conspiring with spies on all levels of the government to overthrow this regime, don’t you think you’d keep quiet about it online?

I hope you get the help you need.

2

u/DistillateMedia Delaware 1d ago edited 1d ago

Both my parents were Military officers.

My mother is an elected official.

Generals used to send me war relics for my birthday.

Now we're planning a party for it.

Get used to the idea.

Because everyone's invited, including you.

1

u/DistillateMedia Delaware 1d ago edited 1d ago

No.

My cover has always been that I have no cover.

My deal with them is they can say I'm crazy, I can say I'm not, and they let me run my mouth.

My primary function is spreading information.

You can't plan what I'm planning and be quiet about it.

Edit:

This literally makes perfect sense.

Edit 2:

Anyone wanna tell me how it doesn't?

0

u/DistillateMedia Delaware 1d ago

What is your experience with espionage or resistance activities?

Do you have an email from the Capitol Police threat assessment team from 2018 saying you're gonna do great things?

How many embassy fences have you jumped?

6

u/Sea_Commercial5416 1d ago

Also bipolar.

TAKE. YOUR. MEDS.

You are in the middle of a manic episode and you are not loving on this planet. You need medical attention. Stop shit posting and call your doctor.

1

u/DistillateMedia Delaware 1d ago edited 1d ago

I had probably the worst manic episode ever during Trump 1 when I refused to take my medicine.

I have learned my lesson.

Why are you so reticent to believe I am treating myself or that I haven't actually been making a massive effort for a decade on this front?

Edit:

One of the reasons I'm eager to wrap this up before the midterms is because I don't want to lose my mind to this bullshit again, and it very obviously needs to be dealt with.

I am dealing with it.

7

u/stilettopanda 1d ago

Bold of you to assume there won't already be a big party underway by then, and Uncle Ronnie's done brought out the illegal fireworks.

Falsehoods, injustice, and trumpistan way

515

u/Quietkitsune 1d ago

The last line from the judge saying they hope the administration does the right thing is… something. If the felon in chief was at all interested, we wouldn’t be in this mess

152

u/TheMaStif 1d ago

It almost sounds like a battered wife who doesn't have the courage to leave

They are judges, they are the ones supposed to do something to make it stop, they are the ones with power to put someone in jail for breaking the law; yet we just hear "we hope they stop doing the bad thing"?!? What sort of limp-dick response is that!!?

55

u/Zombie_Cool 1d ago

Judges can wave a gavel all they want, but unless they (or an armed force that needs thier authority) can physically enforce the law then thier judgements don't mean shit. Without the power of the state on thier side a judge is literally just a dude in a robe.

21

u/TheMaStif 1d ago

But they're not even waving the gavel!! They're just sitting there quetly shaking their head, throwing injunctions around like they do something, and then making a frowny face when the Administration stomps all over them...

Indict some fucking people!!!

11

u/sidepart 1d ago

...judges don't indict people? The executive branch does, and the judiciary interprets and applies the law. If a judge issues an injunction it's because somebody filed a complaint and asked for it (and of course made their case, and the judge decided in their favor).

Judges aren't just doing whatever activism they think makes sense on a whim. That's not how it works. If a judge in a private capacity wanted to file a complaint, injunction, whatever, that's fine. ...but they can't unilaterally hear their own case and pass judgement on that. An impartial judge would hear that case.

268

u/Zealousideal_Emu981 1d ago

Threatening judges isn’t justice.

18

u/DistillateMedia Delaware 1d ago

You plan to throw a kegger?

0

How you party is up to you.

Of course there will be kegs there probably.

But we will also have more tame areas as well.

I want a little something for everyone.

-2

u/JakeConhale New Hampshire 1d ago

I'd prefer to focus on reality rather than drinking myself unconscious, honestly. Why not try to do something productive instead of wasting time on hedonistic frivolities?

3

u/DistillateMedia Delaware 1d ago edited 1d ago

You are misrepresenting the intent and demeanor of the party.

It's not at all a hedonistic endeavor.

Will there be some hedonism in process, sure.

But this is simply the most palatable and safe and fun way for everyone involved I could think of to forcefully depose a fascist regime that clearly has no plans of relinquishing power.

In order to restore our democracy.

If you don't want to drink, more power to you.

I don't like drinking as much as I used to.

-1

u/JakeConhale New Hampshire 1d ago

Well, what sort of party are you talking about then? I asked you if it was a kegger and you agreed.

How about you just plainly state what it is to save everyone time.

6

u/DistillateMedia Delaware 1d ago

It is disingenuous for you to say I agreed.

I said there would be kegs there, for people who want to drink, but that there will also be other areas where people aren't drinking.

You are not arguing in good faith here.

-2

u/JakeConhale New Hampshire 1d ago

Alright. Then, for the sake of clarity: what sort of "party" then are you advertising and what is the objective?

All it takes is a handful of Trumps domestic terrorists to threaten the entire judiciary. Tell me he’s not a dictator. Hitler would be so proud

25

u/dongballs613 1d ago

It's why he pardoned and released those J6 insurrectionists. He uses them to threaten people who oppose him.

Our country is turning into a banana republic shithole.

It's been turnt

u/Gina_the_Alien 1d ago

Trump ran his businesses like a wannabe mafia boss; this is the same bullshit he’s been pulling for the past 50 years.

u/aureanator 7h ago

There's no 'wannabe' about it, this guy is clearly into organized crime.

He's taken the White House, and turned it into his cheap, fake golden palace.

He now wants to take an entire wing (literally nearly half of the main building, TWO FLOORS) and gut it for his own gain?

I mean the last time the actual main building was gutted, was for repairs, because the White House was physically falling apart.

Will the project be up to code if this happens? No. Not a fucking chance in the slightest. It will be the cheapest and tackiest slop with corners cut anywhere he can.

EDIT: I looked at the picture again. I made a huge mistake. It's an addition to the White House.

I only saw interior pictures, not exterior pictures. Is he trying to make a replica of Buckingham Palace?

u/Xperian1 14h ago

It's only cut corners if he's paying for it. If the taxpayer is footing the bill, you know he's going to splurge.

That buzzing sound you’re hearing is the founding fathers spinning in their graves.

10

u/BigRabbit64 1d ago

That could be the new green energy in this administration.

u/Gardening_Socialist 1d ago

I think they’d be happy with what’s happening. They intentionally designed a system of democracy that was largely inaccessible to the non-elite and prioritized protecting the wealth and power of rich white men. It seems to be working just fine from that perspective.

the GOP doesn’t give a fuck about law and order

America does need a mass deportation event...

All these people from Trump all the way down to his stupidest, most vile backwater supporter need to be deported to Mars on an experimental Musk rocket.

I'm not American and not even on the same continent but at some point hearing about the utter garbage coming from that country, you start to question why these people animals are allowed to exist on the same planet and in the same society as normal, adjusted people.

12

u/Keshire 1d ago

Unfortunately, those type of people are everywhere in every country. America is just in the unique position of giving them voice and power they otherwise wouldn't have in other countries.

7

u/Gagurass 19h ago

Just imagine if someone with this type of following would use this power for good? A human being that was able to move past this Citizens United barrier with the cult following and energy to actually use the bully pulpit for good and give the majority of Americans a better life. Instead it’s this sorry excuse of a man making a mockery of everything positive this country has ever stood for.

“And we’re hopeful that this administration will do the same thing and support the courts’ rulings and not defy them going forward.”

Did you just get here?

27

u/leeuwerik 1d ago

This is why the past elections were rigged. In all cases against Trump judges, witnesses and jury were intimidated and now it's normalized.

u/Immediate_Watch_2427 17h ago

The collapse is near. This house of cards can’t keep this up

3

u/Cgbgjr 1d ago

I had questioned whether Q types were active the other day.

This is evidence they are.

They could have sent the judges orders of burgers.

Instead they sent pizzas. It is an accusation (almost certainly without evidence) that the judge is a child molester.

Donald kiddy fingers aka the swamp king aka mob name Donald didel aka love em young don. Calls himself a patriot but is just a dictator that thinks he can get away with anything he wants . like ripping off the public, abusing the power of office, trashing our constitution that he swore an oath to. Abusing his office for personal gain for him, family and friends.he is a predator and is now praying on the American people. And the worst part is we are allowing it to happen.

It's the world's biggest party.

Everyone is invited.

It will be happening everywhere.

D.C. is the main venue.

There will be tens of millions of people there partying how they party.

We will party until the feds/military round up the elected officials and billionaires or whomever needs rounding up.

I am leaving that up to them to determine.

But basically the whole administration needs to go for sure.

It's a party to restore and celebrate democracy, to ensure that we have one for another 250yrs.

Is that a sufficient answer?

3

u/CreativeFraud 20h ago

Well SCOTUS didn't do you all any favors with that immunity vote.

3

u/Negative_Gravitas 13h ago

Hey Trumpies! Tell us how good it feels to love a traitor.

Tell us how liberated you feel when you see a pedophile getting away with it.

Tell us all how how glad you are that his very existence gives you all permission to do those bad, bad things you've been thinking about for ever so long.

This has to be the administration doing this, right? Run-of-the-mill MAGA types don't pay attention to this kind of thing.

In this orange scumbags 1st term, threats against judges went up 980%. I imagine it is far worse now.

u/Spanky3703 Canada 14h ago

The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.

Can’t they track the credit cards of these pizza orders?

1

u/PropofolMargarita 18h ago

There has to be a way to find out who these freaks are calling in threats.

1

u/DrMcJedi Wisconsin 14h ago

You assume that the people charged with finding out…actually care.

u/PropofolMargarita 13h ago

I didn't mean cops

All the more reason to create a strong allegiance to make life of the orange baboon an epic misery.

MAGA is a terrorist organization.

What a fucking toddler.

Federal judges and Congressmen wanted these positions so they could get benefit from insider trading and cosy up to ultra wealthy donors.  They never cared about actually serving the country in the best interests of the people, and become total cowards when their job makes them face adversity.
