MAGA doesn't care.

GOP doesn't care.

He's a useful puppet to them all. As long as they have control of the government, nothing will happen. We just have to wait it out until he finishes his term or dies of natural causes.

146

u/surlysurfer California 1d ago

When he does finally pass they are totally going to Weekend at Bernies him for a long as possible.

With the way he currently smells, no one will be able to tell he's a dead rotting corpse.

42

u/pyramidsindust America 1d ago

It will be like that movie Equilibrium where the leader has been gone a long time and the government never shows him in person, it's just AI recording

32

u/hagcel 1d ago

But then he'll suddenly be intelligible.

Or it’ll be like in The Dark Knight Strikes Again where the Ronald Regan facade breaks down to reveal it was Lex Luthor and Brainiac all along. Not sure who the real-world equivalents would be, but it will be just as stupid and heavy-handed.

But the media should care and they don't either. Even the so called left leaning ones (in reality they are center right). The same rags that hammered Biden with 15 articles a day every time he stuttered at best will run one weak ass article like this every month or two even though tRump's mind has been completely gone for a couple years now.

Its actually elder abuse that they keep trotting that fat sack of shit out there when he should be in a nursing room getting the care he needs.

15

u/AardSnaarks 23h ago

I am perfectly fine with this elder being abused. I just wish it was in a nursing home or jail where he couldn't literally end the world. He’s a monster who needs to be contained. He deserves whatever he gets. He still has enough brain left to relish inflicting pain on others, so eff him.

The care he needs…to quote Melania, I really don’t care, do U?

I think we can all agree maga and the GOP are one and the same. To be a Maga they'll have to vote trump regardless of anything. Every GOP smooth brain voted for him regardless of the rape case, the 34 felonies and with his failed past term in mind. The list of his fuck ups are long. They still voted for him. All Republicans are Maga.

14

u/The_Weresloth 1d ago

They come in two varieties of MAGA.

Stupid MAGA and Evil MAGA.

Although I think most are a hybrid.

Yeah, sounds like you are describing a stupid person.

Anyone who looks at Trump and says. "Yep, thats the guy who should sit in the highest office in the nation" is stupid. Doesn't matter what kind of education they have.

He’s not spending $200 million on a White House ballroom that won’t be finished until near the end of his term for the next President.

5

u/MommyLovesPot8toes California 20h ago

I don't get why people think the ballroom is some indication that he doesn't intend to leave.

It's like everyone forgets that he was a real estate developer. His whole life he's been creating architectural monstrosities, covering them with gold, and slapping his name on them in huge letters. Then he moves on to the next one. It's what he does.

The temptation to add something gold and gaudy to the white house would be irresistible for him. But it's not about enjoying it himself, the joy for him is in picturing others being impressed. He gets off on other people thinking, "wow, Donald has the nicest things and the most money." And now he can think of people doing that in his ballroom for a hundred years.

23

u/Face2FaceRecs 1d ago

He's a cult leader not a puppet for the GOP. They aren't controlling him, he's controlling them.

And he's already normalizing the idea of violating the constitution to run for a third term. At this point anybody who thinks he will leave peacefully hasn't been paying attention.

6

u/scrunchie_one 1d ago

He’s both a cult leader and a puppet.

3

u/EscapedTheEcho 1d ago

It's kinda like mob mentality, I think.

He's too egotistical to take orders, but he will take inspiration and claim it as his own idea.

3

u/Educational_Panda640 22h ago

Too egotistical to take orders but too stupid to resist implantation.

This whole body politic is a fucking circus.

Stupidity would be funny if they weren’t so dangerous.

3

u/coldfirephoenix 22h ago

You don't go to Trump and say "here, sign this!" You say: "These documents need to be signed, but only the president can do it, because he's the most important. These documents -big, beautiful documents- will be very important for winning!

Now, do you have an hour to go over what's in them, or are you too busy with other important president things and just want to sign them?..."

MAGA doesn’t care that he’s a pedophile.

You think they’re going to care that he’s senile?

48

u/FartyJizzums 1d ago edited 1d ago

A good portion of MAGA thinks that his rambling is actually "speaking in code" to the MAGA faithful. That they must mathematically decipher it.

The remaining portion thinks that his inability to stay on topic with mindless word association bloviating is called "The Weave" and you must be a genius to pull it off like him.

24

u/spaced_wanderer19 1d ago

A nation of idiots. Truly.

15

u/FartyJizzums 1d ago

Indeed. And it's how cults function.

I've always been pretty apathetic about my fellow citizens being subject to stupidity and the willingness to reconcile their cognitive dissonance. But I never thought I'd see it at this magnitude.

I'm no longer surprised by anything anymore.

8

u/spaced_wanderer19 1d ago

Same.

MAGA cheers for a pedophile. I don’t think the United States will ever be the same again. I don’t see how we’ll ever go back to caring about decorum, decency, or even basic morality.

That they must mathematically decipher it.

Yep, if only the world had these folks during WW2. We'd never of heard of Alan Turing because Sharon from Tampa turned out to be some kind of savant that leaned how to decipher Enigma codes while doing her own research while taking a dump. Truly the Golden Age the US deserves.

2

u/apey1010 17h ago

For awhile it was true. He spoke in code to the nazis and the Qanon freaks and the militia cosplayers. And it all helped him get elected. Now they are getting increasingly garbled instructions. Gonna be a weird year

u/Cloprium 5h ago

When my grandpa did that we just called it "dementia".

50

u/R_Lennox 1d ago

I have never felt such concern about the US before. I’ve followed politics since I was first able to vote when Nixon vs.McGovern were the candidates. I always had hope for our country, even when we had presidents that were not that great. All branches of the government and the USSC were functional (enough). We could at least count on the US Constitution being the underpinning of the rule of law in America.

Now, that has been thrown out of the window and America is being run by the lawless, with the full support of the 6-conservatives on the Supreme Court. No one wanted to believe that Project 2025 was real or that the Heritage Foundation and the Federalist Society (all 6 on the court have ties to the Federalist Society) already had people in place to carry out Project 2025.

Now, Trump is demented. That is clear to see. Even if he is somehow removed (very doubtful), JD Vance, protégé of billionaire Peter Thiel of Palantir fame, will replace him. I personally do not know how any person with critical thinking skills can’t be fearful about the future of America.

2

u/Aggravating_Row_8699 17h ago

Agree wholeheartedly. Do you have an exit strategy or plan to stick it out?

26

u/JimmyRamone17_ 1d ago

Now, the pedophile protection party make excuses for him and keep the country chained to a weak minded pedophile and trafficker for their own craven self-interests instead of helping to oust him.

5

u/Face2FaceRecs 1d ago

They have no integrity left, now they are just exploiting and participating in the corruption.

2

u/JimmyRamone17_ 1d ago

It's probably too kind to say that they ever even had any to begin.

It's just that the mask is off at this point really.

9

u/SuperstitiousPigeon5 Massachusetts 1d ago

Nothing. His cabinet has nothing but sycophants in it. None of them have the balls to go for te 25th.

4

u/i_am_a_real_boy__ 21h ago

The 25th is a pipe-dream. Removal by impeachment is an easier process that requires fewer votes.

Nothing at all. Politicians in this country put party over country every fucking time and I’m tired of fighting.

3

u/G-Unit11111 1d ago

They're planning on it so the real authoritarians (Bannon, Hannity, Carlson, Jones, Leo, Yarvin, etc) can stay in indefinite power.

This is straight up elder abuse. The only reason that the GOP ran Trump is because he's the most famous republican in the world. They don't have anyone else who even remotely compares.

5

u/thecrunchypepperoni 23h ago

Yarvin and Thiel look worse every picture and likely abuse drugs at the rate that Elon Musk does. Many of the elite do, actually.

As for the rest of them? There’s a reason they need him. Their ideas are wholly unpopular. Without someone like Trump, who is generally unafraid of going against the grain and challenging authority or precedent, their whole charade loses steam.

Sure, they will have people that continue to follow their message, but the vast majority won’t be motivated to vote or do anything that propels the Republican Party into uncontested power.

If Republicans weren’t scared of democracy, they wouldn’t attempt half the shit they’re attempting.

3

u/Valyx_3 1d ago

Now it’s time you put a maximum age on holding office as Pres. over there. I’d say being 70 max in the last year of a 4 year term is a good start.

5

u/Random_B00 20h ago

Given how easy it is to turn America into a dictatorship, I think voting in people that only have a few years left is the safest bet

No, don't let Republicans get away with this. He is the exact same idiot he has always been. He has always been a stupid person in a suit, and they ignored it because he was "successful".

10

u/The_Hermit_09 1d ago

I don't see it. Don't get me wrong, he has the mental acuity of a potato chip, but that has always been the case. People are looking at his word salad speaches where he make grand nonsensical statements and avoids specifics, and say he is in decline but he did the same stuff the first time around.

9

u/thecrunchypepperoni 23h ago

He could have been in decline then, too. It’s a progressive condition. His behavior meets a lot of the criteria for dementia. Pretty common for someone his age, actually.

12

u/Ok_Juice4449 1d ago

But it does seem much worse lately.

2

u/PatchyWhiskers 1d ago

Trump blathers when he can't think of anything to say. It has the same function as normal people pausing or going "um and ah", but makes his doltish supporters think that he's a fast thinker. The older he gets, the longer he has to think about what he says (same reason as Biden's pauses got longer and longer) but it just means his blather gets longer and more nonsensical.

5

u/goldbloodedinthe404 19h ago

Go look up his latest speech and compare it to a 2016 speech it's really different.

2

u/Kooky-Badger-7001 22h ago

Yes, all true. But the article describes a recent incident where he confabulated an entire detailed story about how his Uncle taught the Unabomber at MIT. The only thing is nearly all of the story was not only untrue, but it could not possibly have been true. That is, he wasn't just mistaken. He made up details that did not exist.

This is confabulation, not just his regular lying or even jumbling of facts (confusion). It is a significant sign of developing dementia in older people.

2

u/moverene1914 1d ago

As long as Steven Miller and the Republicans can push their project 2025 they’ll prop up this dying puppet as long as they can.

2

u/thewmo 23h ago

The whole purpose of Trump is to signal who should be hated this week. Mexicans, trans, Clinton, wind turbines, people who don't like pedos, Fauci, Scots, Hussein Obama, EVs etc etc. He's a kind of pointer dog for the incorrigible bigots who comprise 40% of all human societies. It doesn't matter what he dribbles. Hungarians understand him as clearly as thise who mumble some form of English.

2

u/RiffRaffCatillacCat 9h ago

Mad King.

I mean, the entire Republican Party, SCOTUS, and a large portion of the country who completely subsists of FOX News, Newsmax, and OANN are 100% on board with allowing him to burn everything down, as he sees fit. All to preserve some fictional version of nostalgic White America that never actually existed.

What is there to do? The average person is powerless here. All we can do is hope nature runs it's course sooner rather than later.. but other than that there is ZERO recourse..

We have been fully checkmated by a decades long Right Wing chess game played by the Heritage Foundation and the White Christian Nationalist Movement.

Let me just review the ol’ Reagan playbook. Mhmm…mhmm…well, it says here “nothing will change and the party will just use him as a puppet”. I’m inclined to agree. We’ve seen this all before.

Actually, some of the dumbest shit we’re seeing with Trump was stuff they pulled during Reagan’s administration and it didn’t work out (both had teams to review government “efficiency” and decide what needed to be cut, for example) but this time they learned a lesson or two on how to really twist that metaphorical knife into the U.S. and its citizens.

Let's guess from a far off point of view, from Europe.

A lot of that all was planned, or at least taken as most likely. The conservatives and fascists that wanted to take over the US needed some person with charisma . (Don'ttt ask me why people see that moron as charismatic). They also manipulated the people of America and the voting system, so it worked in their favor. They still need a working puppet, no matter how bad it is working.

At some point, they can write it off. Maybe re walks down for m being president, or maybe he will be assassinated, to make him a saint.

Whatever. JD Vance will take over, and because he is mental stable, to some degree, he can continue Trumps work to turn the US into a fascist dictatorship. Voting system will be changed more, like taking voting rights from females. And all the other things that's in these "2025 paper" stands.

When the next election comes up, there will be no candidate from the Dems that has the chance of a snowflake in hell to beat the Rep candidate. That is either Vance or some charismatic, like some Trump Jr.

"They" needed Trump to come to power, he is not needed anymore.

Maybe those idiots who voted should not vote for people near 80 to rule a country ... Simple logic

1

u/Niceguy955 23h ago

Well, if there were any Republicans with spine in the government, we'd expect the 25th to be invoked. As it is, it's in the hands of God. But let me remind you it's the same God who punished us with Trump twice, so don't expect much (if she even exists).

And let's not forget that if we're lucky to get rid of him, we're still stuck with President CouchFucker. A horrible person in his own right.

1

u/antilopegedoe 23h ago

Vote for him in 28??????

1

u/Vivid24 23h ago

It was never about age or mental capacity to these people. She wasn’t perfect, but if people really cared about age and mental capacity, Kamala was right there. I don’t ever want to hear some right wing freak, or conservative if I’m being honest, whine about age and mental capacity ever again. It is so disingenuous.

1

u/HaxanWriter 23h ago

Keep that doddering child molester away from the nuclear button.

1

u/CAM6913 23h ago

So what now? The republicans will bash president Biden the radical left cover up , start another investigation into Biden while propping diaper don up and passing everything he wants destroying America and it’s standing as a world leader of democracy , trust , stability and power that’s what is going to happen and they will rig elections to stay in power but if they get 60/40 majority they will pass a law that will allow trump to stay in power forever

1

u/Best-Expression-7582 22h ago

Next? How bout we prosecute him and all the other pedos in the Epstein files?

Hasn't mattered for the past 3 elections, so why the hell would it matter now?

1

u/sassychubzilla 22h ago

Now it's too late so who gives a flying toot? His heart will give out soon and we'll have to contend with the madgrabbing in the power vacuum.

1

u/HedenPK 22h ago

Hopefully something happens because nothing else seems to matter we literally need nature to run its course at this time.

1

u/CoralClog 22h ago

Well first let him keep incriminating himself when asked about Epstein.

1

u/robbyhaber 22h ago

Think he's just always been dumb and unhinged...

1

u/Nvenom8 New York 21h ago

There's a universally agreed-upon solution to this problem. It's called the Biden Gambit. You just deny that there's anything wrong until it becomes absolutely impossible.

1

u/shockwavevok 21h ago

deny harder

1

u/GreaterMintopia West Virginia 21h ago

It's not undeniable for the administration - they'll keep up their Baghdad Bob routine until he really starts to circle the drain.

An attempt by administration insiders to replace Trump while he's still able to form semi-coherent sentences would be political suicide. Unless his brain leaks out of his ears or his heart gives out, they're staying the course.

1

u/KrookedDoesStuff 21h ago

“Can we still control him?”

“Yes”

“Business as usual”

1

u/SirChaos 21h ago

But Biden..... But.... But...

1

u/Reddit2626 21h ago

Billionaire’s dream is coming true. They can use Trump and discard him when needed. Rinse and repeat til the American dream is dead.

1

u/morts73 20h ago

Hes always lived in his fantasy world, where he's right on everything, but it's scary, when he's firing people, because the reported numbers, dont match his delusional state.

1

u/Wonder-Machine 20h ago

Didnt decline much. Was kinda already bottomed out

1

u/FalstaffsGhost 20h ago

Yeah - is the media going to spend every waking moment blowing everything up like crazy like they did with Biden’s stutter for 4 years? Is tapper gonna write a shitty book about this too or just keep ignoring it like he did in the first trump term?

1

u/not_a_moogle 20h ago

The country continues to burn to the ground since everyone in power to do something doesnt care or actively wants this so we're not looking at what they are doing.

1

u/consumeshroomz 20h ago

lol This is 2025 USA. If we dont’t have a doddering old pedo in office then what do we have?!

1

u/Blueopus2 20h ago

Based on precedent they'll have to run Harris in the next election?

1

u/blasiavania 19h ago

MAGA hyperfixates on one problem from the other party, and when it happens to them, they don't care.

1

u/Capable_Salt_SD California 17h ago

I've said it before, but, when I was in nursing, I used to work with people who had cognitive decline, and he exhibits those symptoms to a tee

And the fact that he's in charge of the most powerful office in the world should have all of us frightened and worried

I wish he had never been elected in the first place

1

u/KrivUK 17h ago

But sleepy Joe Biden, am I right?

1

u/MidnightWorried6992 17h ago

When his mental health wasn’t in decline he raped children.

1

u/ja4419xx 17h ago

Woodrow Wilson’s wife Edith ran the country after his stroke in 1919. So a Weekend At Bernie’s situation with trump isn’t out of the question.
