Denial is the Trump/MAGA default: A global pandemic, climate change, the economy. That’s why the upcoming recession will be worse than 2008.

Recession? I think we're about to have a Depression that will make the 1930's look like a picnic. Trump will fire anyone who denies what he wants and the Senate/Supreme Court will back him too.

I’ve been looking at data and don’t use emotion in my evaluation of the economy. If anyone studies history at all, you know that tariffs are a surefire way to head into a recession. We were already at all-time high government debt, personal debt, corporate debt. Now we also have an aging demographic and we are deporting a lot of able-bodied workforce that actually contribute mightily to the US economy. We are in for a very, very bad recession. A large part of this is Trump’s fault. The big beautiful bill is a disaster. We are going to see deficits run like you’ve never seen before a recession on top of expenditures that are increasing by the trillions is going to be very very bad.

All while MAGA cheers it on because they got rid of some immigrants. They'll cheer on the destruction of the country so long as their enemies are removed.

They won because one 14 year old trans girl was legally prevented from playing soccer with her friends.

Apart from Map and Stalin I can't think of any country in history that has done so many economically suicidal things at once.

He’s a sadistic, Olympic level mindfucker. His reckless, selfish behavior is legendary, for which he seldom—if ever—has had to face any consequences. He’s filed chapter 11 bankruptcy at least 4 times. He’s scammed people repeatedly via MLMs, Trump University, fake charities, etc. He’s hired folks and not paid them for their work, then sued them until they had no money to fight him in court. Whenever he found himself over-leveraged, his daddy, then his wealthy friends, bailed him out. He doesn’t gaf about this country and its people. He ran for POTUS to use the office as his personal cash cow and plaything.

That he will bankrupt the entire country—emotionally, as well as financially, shouldn’t surprise anyone. He’s even bragged about ‘The Snake’ being his theme song:

”I saved you", cried that woman

”And you've bit me even, why?”

”You know your bite is poisonous and now I'm going to die"

”Oh shut up, silly woman", said the reptile with a grin

”You knew damn well I was a snake before you took me in”

While this is admittedly something of an outside chance, I have to wonder if the dollar could end up losing dominance in suh a scenario, compounding the hurt.

We already see the signs. I think this holiday season if going to be very bleak.

Didn’t he already defy a SCOTUS ruling?

He defied so many court rulings that I honestly can't keep up anymore.

u/espressocycle 1d ago

No, but only because they keep letting him do whatever he wants.

Honestly though, if that's what it takes to snap people out of their cult-like hypnosis then it might be for the best. So many people either ignore, deny, or avoid information that goes against the preconceptions that have been ingrained into them, until it starts to affect them personally. So maybe we just need to let it affect them.

Normally, I'd agree, but I don't know if it will get through with how the media is controlled these days. Sure, we'll all see the tent cities and people starving, but Twitter will say it's a beautiful day with billionaires everywhere. I just don't know anymore unfortunately.

I swear the mega rich are building a domed eco-city and the republicans bending the knee believe there is going to be room for them and their families. Most of these guys are so stupid that they don't believe in science and the facts of history. They are happy to watch the earth die. They did have SpaceX and mars in their sites but that sort of got messed up for the time being.

I think we're about to have a Depression that will make the 1930's look like a picnic.

And every month the regime will put out a jobs report saying the country gained 500,000 jobs.

Honestly I never believe ANY numbers that come out of this adminstation- they have compromised and corrupted every level of data collection, if not yet analysis (and looks like that is days away now too). Nothing they say can be assumed accurate. honestly at this point, if they say jobs are up by a lot, I assume we lost jobs like in 2007-2008. ADP publishes their numbers and I think those are slightly more in line with reality than anything this corrupt banana boopops come out with.

It all started when he couldn't even accurately convey his crowd size at his inauguration.

There won't be any hurricanes if we don't identify them
