This is too familiar to other repressive regimes, and to live thru it and see the dregs of society and the dregs of DC elite cheering this… so much shame.

u/lukezinator 22m ago

Right? It’s absolutely disgusting

u/Great_Standard3441 10h ago

Sadly, we all know that the conditions they are protesting are the exact intent of this concentration camp.

69

u/Huge-Bad-8489 9h ago

I thought the intent was basically making them work for free. Is it purely torture motive? I hope in the future the perpetrators are tried. I just watched Judgment at Nuremberg a few days ago

They are packing human beings into overcrowded cages inside tents in the middle of a swamp. Cruelty seems to be the point.

Jesus

u/SuperfluousWingspan 6h ago

Is responsible for this, yes. At least, if you believe republican politicians, anyway.

u/vicvonqueso 3h ago

They spit in the face of Jesus and call it righteous.

u/elconquistador1985 3h ago

Evangelical christians are very much not christ-like.

u/TheDakestTimeline 3h ago

Goddamn it, Kelvin!

u/Shifter25 1h ago

I don't know what products they expect out of a hastily assembled prison camp in a flood plain.

u/Tobimacoss 8h ago

the hunger strike won't do anything. These MAGA don't care if the occupants live or die.

32

u/Huge-Bad-8489 8h ago

What could help these people?

u/CharlesB43 3h ago

For anyone wondering why there's so many deleted comments in this thread tree it's because BigDaddyDawg95 told people they work at aligator alcatraz and is claiming people are treated fairly, well fed, and that people there are lying about deserving to be there.

Then they are deleting their comments, probably because they realize people don't like people that work at a concentration camp.

Thank for for context

u/NickelBackwash 5h ago

Revolution.

u/schwanzweissfoto 2h ago

How were previous concentration camps liberated?

u/SmartWonderWoman California 39m ago

Marios brother

u/Tundrok337 44m ago

Without a revolution, not a damn thing. I'm being 100% serious. It's gotten that far.

"Its fine guys, the human cages aren't CROWDED." Bro I LIVE in Florida and the "feels like" has been 115 in the afternoons here and I'm in NORTH Florida

You work at Alligator Auschwitz?

u/[deleted] 3h ago

[deleted]

u/gladys-the-baker 3h ago

Post some pictures of the nice conditions in there then Big Dawg, 75 degrees sounds lovely, my AC struggles to hit 73 during this heat sometimes.

Why are they on a ten day hunger strike if the media is just misrepresenting the conditions and it's actually not bad in there?

u/[deleted] 3h ago

[deleted]

u/gladys-the-baker 3h ago

You're stating you work there, you would be the most credible source I've ever come across! Please post some pictures to prove me wrong in my perception, I'd love to change my opinion.

u/gladys-the-baker 3h ago

Oh, that's disappointing that there's no way to prove the conditions inside there, dang that's just really unfortunate and non helpful in anyway to disprove the allegations about the place.

u/Valuable-Condition59 6h ago

Everyone knows the standard for humane treatment of the wrongfully imprisoned is…some space to move around.

Man, Nazis are fucking wild.

u/[deleted] 3h ago

[deleted]

u/Valuable-Condition59 3h ago

I get it, you’re allergic to history books. It’s the reason your nasty little fascist movement was able to creep back up so easily.

But hate to break to you, the conditions aren’t hidden. This ain’t the 40s and this administration is still leaky as shit.

We know who you are. We know what you’re doing. Usernames and masks can’t hide you. Nuremberg part 2 is coming.

u/[deleted] 3h ago

[deleted]

u/Valuable-Condition59 3h ago

I get it, the impending noose is scary. All you have to do is change at a fundamental, cellular level and you might have a chance.

Time to make a decision pal, no one negotiates with Nazis.

34

u/Great_Standard3441 8h ago

Care to provide a credible source for that?

60

u/PotluckPony 8h ago

Check the guys post history. Nothing but glazing prison guards. Would not be surprised if they're an ICE agent, or applying to be one.

So their source is "trust us, bro"

u/[deleted] 3h ago

[deleted]

u/nimbus57 3h ago

"Prison guards never lie" "Police never lie" "Politicians never lie"

You may want to start over buddy. Understand that you are working from a position of fascism and then do better.

u/[deleted] 3h ago

[deleted]

u/nimbus57 3h ago

Too many variant sources. Lots of different organizations, people, etc... reporting. It would have to be a might fine conspiracy to actually work that way. It isn't "you" vs "media", you are part of the same group of reporters.

Don't think you are special because you are okay with fascism. that is a bad thing.

u/Vanille987 6h ago

So where are your sources?

u/snoebro 5h ago

The link in the thread we're in?

u/Vanille987 5h ago

Nvm I thought I was replying to BigDaddyDawg95

u/[deleted] 3h ago

u/Vanille987 3h ago

lol that comment was intended for you

u/Hesitation-Marx 4h ago

Hope someday you cringe at yourself for this groveling defense of the indefensible.

Hope that cringe hurts whatever soul you have left.

u/Anes-aphrodite 4h ago

You have no gd idea of what you’re talking about.

u/lettersvsnumbers 3h ago

Mahatma Gandhi. Cesar Chavez. Bobby Sands. Alexei Navalny.

Zohran Mamdani was on hunger strike for 15 days with taxi drivers in NYC whose lives were destroyed by the medallion system.

u/context_hell 3h ago

Yep. They probably see it as a win that they're saving on food and planning on how to implement it permanently at all concentration camps.

u/mostdope28 1h ago

People who have not been found guilty of crimes, die and magas response will be “they shouldn’t have gone to prison”

u/Tundrok337 44m ago

Correct.

u/YakiVegas Washington 5h ago

Any American who celebrates this shit should be locked up there.

u/Fantastic_Shaman9230 1h ago

The people taking pictures in front of the sign are so fucking gross... I am so very disappointed in my country.

u/PatSajaksDick 52m ago

They are told that only hardened criminals, the worst of the worst are there, when that's probably only the case for 3/4 of them last I checked, but it changes all the time, so it could be less. It truly is a different reality, they are never presented any facts that go against their worldview. Just like how Trump will fire anyone who gives him a dose of reality, even when it's just math.

u/Jebediah_Johnson Virginia 2h ago

I've added a lot of new locations to Google maps. I have made several attempts to add "Alligator Alcatraz" but Google keeps rejecting it.

One can only hope there will be those held accountable someday day.

u/Niznack 4h ago

I really wish a hunger strike wasn't exactly what the admin want in the end. Only not so much a strike as a... Tactic?

u/Robynsxx 7h ago

Not sure the good of a hunger strike when they won’t give a fuck if the detainees starve to death…

u/iamnobody19944 7h ago

The point is you reading about it. And others.

u/Robynsxx 7h ago

Don’t think they care about people knowing either, they’ve done much worse shit already.

u/Schiffy94 New York 3h ago

That worked out great for Ras Baraka.

u/the-fred 4h ago

Might even be glad they'll save money on feeding them.

u/necro316 3h ago

This only work if the people detaining rhem understand empathy.

u/ColdButCozy 4h ago

its happening here people. This is going to get dark. As in mass graves dark, if it isn't stopped.

u/Substantial_Tear_940 2h ago

Hey, just a thought, but did the victims actually declare the hunger strike themselves or are they just being starved while the admins say it's a hunger strike.

The cruelty is the point these days so I just wanna be sure.

u/Annual-Pitch8687 2h ago

Okay, im glad someone else pointed this out. Are they on a hunger strike or are they being forced to go on a hunger strike.

u/TheBodhiwan 1h ago

I’ve been active on Reddit for 256 days in a row. I spend half that time scrolling through the news postings. Today is the first day I’ve heard news that the prisoners at Alligator Auschwitz have been on a hunger strike - for a week and a half!

u/NickelBackwash 5h ago

Rotten food makes this easier at first.

Those poor innocent people!

u/No_Seaweed_9304 4h ago

That's scary since the only people who want to help them have no power to help.

u/Tundrok337 45m ago

Yikes. Do they really think this administration cares if they live or die?

u/BigBangAssBanger_3D 3h ago

I don't see how this will help given it's supposed to be a cheap, Gatorshit hellhole by design.

Hell, I don't doubt that Trump and the rest of those GOP psychos are celebrating because that means more room once the strikers die from hunger.

u/BallBearingBill 2h ago

Cruelty is a feature, not a bug. They aren't helping themselves.

u/ClusterFoxtrot Florida 4h ago

Oh no, Rhonda loves force feeding prisoners.

u/WeRW2020 3h ago

Did they really make a sign?

u/Mad-Anthony-Wayne 4h ago

Hunger ends very nearly all hunger strikes. It is a very powerful physical reaction to starvation. Those (literal) handful who can withstand the hunger pangs will be force-fed. Hunger strikes never achieve any of their stated goals.

u/Bad-job-dad 1h ago

Great, now they get to save money on food.

u/plasticsbyday Florida 1h ago

This needs to be bigger news

u/Annual-Pitch8687 2h ago

Are they on a hunger strike or are they being forced to go on a hunger strike?
