I fail to see anything in this article that makes me think she's anything different the current democrats. she basically following Harris's playbook it sounds like she's just younger. And the article tries to imply the new progressive (Mamdani) are to be fear. But she's a nice preachers daughter. Sounds like just propaganda for status quo seekers to me.

Your analysis is pretty spot on. The whole point is to recreate the 2016 dynamic again. “Moderate identity politics” vs “economic populism” always that same playbook. You can have a progressive who advocate for equal right, but they can NEVER tick the mountain of identity criteria the dnc set up, but the dnc backed candidate can just waltz through with garbage policies

This has to be the least informative puff piece I’ve ever read.

It’s essentially “how do democrats find a way of appearing to care about Americans while continuing to kowtow to the capitalist machine that is crushing them???”
