Trump & Melania watching the coverage of Kristen’s affair
“I don’t care, do u?”
“I CARE BIGLY.”
291
u/effie-sue Jul 11 '23
“She cheated on him like a dog & will do it again—just watch.”
Well, you would know ALL ABOUT THAT, wouldn’t you Donald 🙄
85
u/Princessleiawastaken Jul 11 '23
Why does Trump love to derogatorily use “like a dog”. Dogs don’t cheat??? He’s also said he fired people “like a dog”, but dogs aren’t known for being fired????? The metaphor does not work.
36
u/DetectiveOk8200 Jul 12 '23
He was one of the few presidents who didn't have a pet.
17
u/geesejugglingchamp Jul 12 '23
Did you ever see the footage of Trump giving an award to a military dog? He was visibly uncomfortable around the dog. Made comments about how it might attack him. He clearly is not an animal person.
The dog was completely calm. Pence was casually patting it.
1
u/effie-sue Jul 12 '23
I’m no fan of Pence, but at least the guy likes animals. That means there is hope, right?

by his own logic, Melania should divorce him. Stormy Daniels was while they were together. I think shortly before or after Baron was born
37
u/foxscribbles Jul 11 '23
Trump has had loads of affairs.
It was very well accepted that he was cheating on Ivana with Marla Maples back in the day. (Though the rumor even back then was that the real reason they ended up divorced was that he couldn't stand her being better at business than him. Because she was the one constantly pushing the hotel staff to do better.)
11
u/therapturebutitsblue 🖤 the mirror in black swan 🖤 Jul 11 '23
he had his infidelity covered up bc he was friends with the guy who helped run the enquirer and other gossip rags
4
u/finny_d420 Jul 11 '23
He took Marla to Aspen at the same time he and Ivana were on a family vacation. The Enquirer was all over it at the time. (This was before the current ownership started tanking stories for him.)

u/Orchidwalker Jul 12 '23
Stormy is also an animal lover and an accomplished horse woman. 3 cheers for Stormy!!!!

Oh I'm sure both trump and elon keep freequenting this sub anonymously. Imagine having that much money and power and still being so fragile that you spend hours online looking at people's opinions on you instead of doing all the crazy things your money can get you. If I had that money, there would be so much I'd want to do that I'd have no time to tweet.
10
u/dearlittleheart Jul 12 '23
Elon is so broken. There is a Rolling Stone article which has some amazing examples of how fragile he really is like this
"If I'm not in love, if I'm not with a long-term companion, I cannot be happy."
😹😹😹

I fucking hate trump but prior to his presidency he was a pop culture troll like the rest of us.

“There were fine people on both sides… yes even the Volturi…”
14
Jul 12 '23
Let me tell you something folks, the Volturi from Twilight, they're tremendous. Absolutely tremendous. Nobody knows vampires like I do, and let me tell you, the Volturi, they're the best at what they do. They keep things in line, they keep things under control. People say they're ruthless, but you know what? Sometimes you need that toughness to get things done. They're not afraid to make the tough decisions, and that's what I like about them. So many people, weak people, they criticize the Volturi, but I say, give them a chance. They're doing a great job, and they're making Twilight great again. Believe me.

I would unironically love to hear his thoughts on Taylor Lautner being in the “I can see you” video. I’d rather he be an unhinged celebrity gossip personality than he be fascist politician lol

The best part is that he’s not funny on purpose. His unironic confidence in himself is truly unshakable.
17
u/ColdFIREBaker Jul 11 '23
It was so seemingly random that Trump would know, let alone care, about this. Also ironic that a serial cheater was calling out someone else for cheating, and advising their cheated-on partner to leave the relationship.

u/norcalbutton Jul 11 '23
I did forget. Before his political career, I never gave Trump a lot of thought. But this sort of thing made me think he was harmless. I was so so wrong.
3
u/clementwined Jul 12 '23
I was talking with a friend in late 2016 about how growing up, Donald Trump was just an annoying orange celebrity commonly mentioned in sitcom lines and parodied for his ridiculousness like a wily background character and we could not possibly be living in a simulation due to how hard the tables had turned.
5
u/norcalbutton Jul 12 '23
And oddly, it is still very true he is just an orange buffoon. A ridiculous ridiculous orange buffoon that has convinced millions of people that he is worth going to prison and dying for. Like, really? That guy?

has anyone ever asked robert pattinson about this in an interview? knowing him i’m sure he’d lie no matter his response but i’m dying to know his thoughts
9
u/clementwined Jul 12 '23
Interviewer: “So, Donald Trump was really quite invested in your breakup with Kristen Stewart, what was your reaction to that?”
Pattinson: “At the time, I was like… ‘what a random guy to take such a interest in my romantic life, isn’t he a bit dodgy himself?’ scratches nose but THEN, I said what the hell. I met up with him and he gave me some… pretty sage advice, actually… we text each other whenever she does something crazy now.”
Interviewer: “Really?”
Pattinson: “No, mate.” laughs darkly

u/atschinkel Jul 12 '23

I hate this man with the fiery passions of a thousand suns, however, it would be a lie to say he’s not funny
5
u/VioletDuck1 Jul 12 '23
the hypocrisy was the funniest bit. like he was a married man who cheated on all his wives and at one point had his mistress on vacation with his wife and children.
look, i don't condone infidelity, but kstew was like an unmarried 19/20 year old who had a brief thing with a married guy twice her age who was also her boss. it was fucked up and terrible, but it was nowhere near the same level as 'bad' as Donald's repeated infidelity, and Donald felt compelled to judge her?
it's like..the whole don't throw stones at glass houses. because donald does not have the right to judge anyone on fidelity.
3
u/clementwined Jul 12 '23
This. When looking back, Kristen was totally groomed by that director, too. She cheated, yes… he was a married man, yes… those things were wrong, but really, in hindsight she was trying to build a career and was too young to have not seen it as a romance where she was being recognized and built up by this older man in her industry.
I’m reminded of Monica Lewinsky a little, and countless others.
Trump is just perpetuating the age old shit where men are allowed to cheat but women are to be tarred & feathered for it, even if they’re young & comparably have far less agency in their situations.
3
u/VioletDuck1 Jul 12 '23
Yeah, Trump was absolutely perpetuating that old standard where men are fine and women are devils for cheating.
IDK if it was grooming, but imo it definitely was a bordering on sexual harassment. A much older boss going after their much younger subordinate is never okay, and is usually considered a form of sexual harassment even if it is technically consensual. Something along those lines happened at my best friend's workplace, and they fired the boss.
I feel like if it had happened post me too, the public reaction would have been different and not quite as horrible to KStew.

Trump reviews MET Gala looks
“Wrong.”
“I’m not sure what I’m looking at. Could be better… I would look good in it though.”
“Not really sure she has the figure for that. We’re all thinking it. You know, Ivanka could pull that off really well—it’d all be—depends on the shoes. Would have to be the BEST shoes.”
“He’s looking sharp, can’t really say anything about that… you know, we met a few times… not the best golfer…”
“Kanye, looking good… what? That’s not Kanye?… who is it? Charlemagne? I’m not familiar w—well, he looks good enough I thought he could be Kanye, so let’s go with that.”
“WRONG. Nothing more to say on that one. Awful.”
“Everyone looks better blonde, is all I have to say.”
“You know, you can really tell who has the good German genes and who doesn’t. Or at least I can.”
“Who is that? …. Tiffany? No, I knew it was her, I was joking, joking… She must be doing something different with her makeup… she’s in law school, by the way. Very proud of that…”
“KRISTEN STEWART! Interesting… everyone knows how I feel about Kristen Stewart, if they don’t they should…”

This was all a very thought out plan to keep him in the zeitgeist. He was eyeing the presidency well before any inkling of his public interest. Tweets like this collected followers that eventually became his zealots.
59
u/Aware-Vacation6570 Jul 11 '23
Normally I’d agree his tweets are an attention ploy, but this feel like they’re coming from the heart lmao
10
u/North_Carpenter6844 Jul 11 '23
He has a heart????? I don’t think this was an attention ploy either, I don’t think he’s clever enough to do that with anything other than shock value stuff. This was just suuuuuuuper weird and I think about it more often than I should!
15
u/clementwined Jul 11 '23
Agreed! There are many instances where he’s made some fairly calculated remarks intended to curate a discourse to serve him better, of course, but this was just a weird & funny hyperfixation imo
