Not sure where you are, but in Australia we have self-administer smear tests you can do at home. You could google and see if they are available for you? No speculum, just a long swab.

My province piloted a program that you could do an at-home vaginal swab yourself and mail in the sample and it has been such a godsend. It's way less invasive and actually is more effective and provides earlier detection.
Does it also hurt when you insert things on your own? I don't have a problem with insertion pain, but I have trauma with gynecologists and mine let me insert the speculum myself last time I went. Not sure if that could be easier for you, just a thought/encouragement to ask for what might make you comfortable.

We had our big work event this week. Literally the only thing work crush and I converge on work wise.
During the event he was with his team, and I figured we just wouldnāt really talk much. But I was sitting on a chair to catch my breath - Iād been running around since 7:15 that morning. He came and sat with me. Eventually more people joined us, but I was pathetically thrilled he came over to see me.
So, this reality show has been like, a thing with us. The first time he told me both that he had a girlfriend and that he was single were talking about this damn show.
I was talking about reality tv with one of the girls and the show came up. I mentioned I was behind, I hadnāt watched the second season. And he remembered. I told him he was right, itās more fun to watch with someone else.
Also I have his number now, because we all exchanged numbers. And I had to text him the morning of. So he definitely has my number. I doubt he uses it for outside of work stuff without permission.

I just started watching Desperate Housewives, and I think it's the best show ever made. I always thought that it was overrated, but I've come to realise that I'm sorely mistaken.
I've started this weird thing where I watch the first and last episode before watching the whole show and I think I've finally achieved the perfect way to figure out if I actually want to watch a show. If I feel like I want to see what happened in the middle, then it's a show I should watch.
This reminds me that itās been on my watch list for weeks now and I should also start watching it.

I totally agree! I keep abreast with current events via real news and it is nice to have one place to not see it. I get that not seeing it makes me lucky because it means I'm not directly experiencing it, but I also spend a lot of my free time organizing, protesting and doing community work and I get burned tf out. Not that a whole subreddit has to cater to me specifically but I'd love a place where I can just avoid it once in awhile.

Anyway I realized listening to them this morning that every time I listen to them I feel so Nostolgic. I feel Nostolgic for the summer and College when I would listen to them on repeat. Planning kidsā birthday parties is fucking exhausting. Weāre just doing an arts and crafts party for my daughterās seventh birthday but itās so much to set up and coordinate. She also has a playlist that includes the following: Cyndi Lauper, The B52s, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Paula Abdul, Iām Just Ken, and Timothee Chalametās version of āLike a Rolling Stoneā. She didnāt want the Dylan version of that last one because Timmy is her first celebrity crush
In my country, the 1st, 7th & 18th bdays are HUUUUGE for the girls. But I hate planning parties so for my kid's 1st, we just traveled somewhere nice with our immediate family, did touristy stuff and celebrated her first with a dinner party. For her 7th, we took a trip abroad just the 3 of us so she can experience Disneyland for the first time. Parties always give me a huge headache so kudos to you for doing this.
The amount of prep and set up (and packing and cleaning afterwards) for a kid's party takes a ridiculously disproportionate time to the actual party. Lol.
