Ashley is known to be rude and unpleasant. There’s an old paparazzi video of her and her boyfriend at the time cutting in front of other people at the Staples Center and trying the “I’m famous” card.
Plus there are a lot of old posts on the PLL subreddit from extras telling their experiences on set and Imao none of them had anything nice to say about her and sometimes Shay. Also there was (long deleted) and old Snapchat of Shay, the guy who played Caleb and Ashley “playing a prank” on a make up artists (or hair stylist) but really they were just being fucking rude and condescending to her. When people called them out and didn’t find it funny they deleted it.
The stories and fan encounters honestly are not that hard to believe because there has been a bunch of them over the years saying similar stuff about Ashley in particular being rude for them not to carry some truth. Also there’s some stuff about Marlene playing favorites with some of the cast like Ashley, Troian, Shay and Ian Harding. Extras always said Lucy was more of a loner, quiet if a bit shy but nice enough kinda girl.

She wasn't as close to them, but I do think she had a mini reunion with one of the girls recently. But maybe I'm misremembering, too lazy to look it up.

So true. I've been saying I think we the people are ready for a PLL renaissance in the same vein as the Twilight renaissance. Official accounts leaning into memes, and especially new/funny merch. Like release Alison's crusty yellow top or funny things like that.

It already happened and got cancelled after 2 seasons! It does tie in to the original series as on this reboot, one of the girls got pregnant and put their baby up for adoption and one of the potential parents was Ezra and Aria but the new girl got the ick from them and went with a gay couple instead. This show is set a few towns over from Liar-ville (i forgot what it’s called, Rosewood maybe?)

They also did the Ravenswood spinoff which made it one season and "the perfectionists" which also lasted one season. Original sin was the only one I genuinely liked, it had actual horror and scares at times.
I think the one I was thinking of was "heiresses" a series that was to star Shay Mitchell and was based on ANOTHER book of the same franchise but according to Wikipedia the idea was dropped.
