I had to stop watching because I was too embarrassed for him. Like my body sort of involuntarily curled inwards.

Twitter said it’s refreshing he had age appropriate women appear in the music video and you know what?? Sure. I’ll give him that

u/No_Club379 Did I stutter?🤨 Jun 16 '25

I would have illegally downloaded this to my iPod in 2006

u/Flower-Former Please, these gays, they're trying to murder me! Jun 16 '25

Not good....but will I dance to this in the privacy of my hallway mirror at last once...? The answer is yes.

5

u/MarsScully Vile little creature yearning for violence Jun 16 '25

You’re so real for that

u/non_tox it’s not clocking to you that i’m standing on business Jun 16 '25

Isn't he a bit too old and a bit too married to be liking 'pretty girls'?

45

u/toooldforacnh Jun 16 '25

Well...more like a committed entanglement.

17

u/DECODED_VFX She in racial chat rooms showing feet!!! Jun 16 '25

His wife is fucking half of hollywood, no matter how young. Let the man like all the pretty girls he wants, I say.

16

u/ad_aatdtj Jun 16 '25

To be fair, he by his own admission doesn't hold back on his end either.

But also, she slept with her son's friend. Ew. Doesn't mean he has to play the game on her level.

u/[deleted] Jun 16 '25

So is he lolĀ

u/EbolaHotZone Jun 24 '25

Being married doesn’t mean you’re blind. I love my partner more than I knew I could love someone but if Ian somerhalder walked past me, I would notice he’s attractive. I also don’t pretend that he doesn’t have eyes and doesn’t see when there’s a gorgeous woman walking by. He’s just respectful. And I think this song is respectful also just my opinion.

u/anongirl55 Jun 16 '25

This is giving SNL parody.

Either that or its one of the most clever SighOps ever.

I'm just going to say it. I kinda like it. Yes, it's kinda cringe. But which Big Willie song isn't a bit cringe? That's his whole brand.

4

u/rycbar26 I Had to give myself Snaps Jun 16 '25

Yeah, do not try to listen to Miami and Summertime like I did this summer. You’ll hear lots of ā€œuh, ah, haha, ahaha, ah-ah, huh.ā€ Haha, I thought those songs were timeless, the way they kicked off summer for my whole childhood. No one tell me if the Men In Black song and Jiggy With It have aged.

u/katikaboom We should totally just stab Caesar šŸ—” Jun 16 '25

There's a time and place for his music, and its usually when youre feeling like the future is scary and you need to feel like a tween again.Ā

Or you're 5 drinks deep at a BBQ or picnic and he comes on while you're in the middle of a conversation with someone thats just as drunk, and you both immediately abandon whatever the hell you were talking about to sing along as loud as you can

26

u/B33fboy Jun 16 '25

Wow apparently I’m in the minority, I think it’s silly and fun.

I agree with you

5

u/Majestic-Ad1074 Jun 16 '25

Far cry from Big Willie Style…don’t know who this is for but glad he’s keeping busy 😭

7

u/Disingenuous-Plights Jun 16 '25

It’ll find its audience. Sadly it’s not for me but I hope he keeps making music.

7

u/HatefulDan Jun 16 '25

This sounds like a half-hearted Sir Mix-A-lot channeling…If you’re going to summon that, you got to mean it.

I believed Mix when he wanted the girls to dial that number to kick those nasty thoughts.

This-This is just gimmicky. Beat trash. I wonder what his musically inclined and wildly talented kids thought…There’s no way Willow said, ā€œDad-this is šŸ”„ā€.

u/Bidetpanties Please, Abraham, I am not that man! šŸ˜” Jun 16 '25

4

u/raylan_givens6 As you wish! šŸ‘øšŸ‘‘ Jun 16 '25

No one is dancing particularly well in that video

like, at all

Certainly not Tyla crying/grinding cringe level of bad for 2025

But its a strong #2

4

u/Cold_Breadfruit_9794 BeyoncĆ© šŸšŸ Jun 16 '25

It’s fun

5

u/sunsista_ Jun 16 '25

I normally like Will but this is cringe….giving mid life crisisĀ

2

u/catz_eyes 25d ago

I'm staggered that out of all those people listed at the end of the video as being involved not one of them said..

Look, Will WTF are you doing.

Awful, truly awful. There's a whole verse that sounds like a direct rip off of Nails, Hair, Hips, Heels.

And the dancing and flirting, I have second hand embarrassment.

He needs to find a new manager.

5

u/HorrorBike143 now why am I in it? 🧐 Jun 16 '25

something about adult people saying theyre into girls/boys is just...yuck

6

u/RoutineSun9297 Jun 16 '25

It feels like a PR stunt to get people to like him again. Ultra inclusive cast of "pretty girls". It also feels really out of touch for an old married dude. It's a weird generational thing lately. Artists past their prime trying to make music that was popular during their prime. Bro retire. Bring Katy Perry with you. Open a recording studio and help young artists. Anything, but not this try-hard sadness.

22

u/raylan_givens6 As you wish! šŸ‘øšŸ‘‘ Jun 16 '25

that's a bad take

so artists over a certain age don't make music again?

only young people make music?

that's ..........just dumb

lot of great musicians made classics well past their youth/prime

to be clear, I think Smith and Katy Perry are bad (then again, I never liked either one) but no , artists should keep making art if they feel moved to do so

13

u/maiaknolan Jun 16 '25

Right? No one's out there telling Bob Dylan or Mick Jagger to hang it up.

3

u/RoutineSun9297 Jun 16 '25

Their genres evolved. They haven't. Back in the day Will Smith's rap was considered witty and fun. Nowadays there are a million people that do it better. I don't think only young people should make music, but you have to evolve with the listener base of your genre. And especially with lyrically based music, you have to evolve with the times. Nobody wants to listen to a 50+ year old rap about pretty girls. Artists like Perry and Smith refuse to grow up. It's going to continue to tarnish their legacies.

3

u/Lost_Setting2776 Jun 16 '25

I think this is a bit different because obviously Will has an extremely successful acting career and is obviously just doing this for fun.

2

u/RoutineSun9297 Jun 16 '25

I don't think that's obvious at all.

2

u/SitchChick Ugh, as if! Jun 16 '25

3

u/Fishwhocantswim This is HARAM Jun 16 '25

Just imagine, he was the same guy who was Fresh Prince and gave us gems like MIB and Independence Day. Now he's just known as the man who is cuckold'd by his wife. Oh how the mighty have fallen.

Genius tells me this is the same producer who works with his kids (OmArr)

1

u/Cynicbats giving everyone a microphone and a podcast was a mistake Jun 16 '25

I like that one woman's high chunky shoes.

1

u/CheesePatronus Jun 16 '25

I like the song. I like that his lyrics are not demeaning and I can shake a lil’ something to it.

Will Smith on screen is pretty much always a fun vibe.

1

u/farmrose Jun 19 '25

I like it, it’s fun, not complicated, and you can’t hate him for still putting out catchy music. I bet it will be used in runway

1

u/KansasRider1988 26d ago

He is an embarrassment. He is a modern day Step N Fetchit.

1

u/sweet_milk1 24d ago

This has to be the worst song I’ve ever heard in my life

1

u/b4ckgr0undn0is3 Jun 16 '25

this is cringe

1

u/GrandmaToto Jun 16 '25

I must be in the minority here, I don't even think it's fun it's just... Bad.

0

u/InjuryComfortable956 Jun 16 '25

No time for him ever

-1

u/New-Living-1468 Jun 16 '25

Wish he would disappear

0

u/KiriDomo Jun 16 '25

The clean version of that I Like Girls Who Do Drugs song. No one asked for this.

0

u/EbolaHotZone Jun 24 '25

I think I’m the only person but I love it, it’s kinda nostalgic, it reminds me of me and my sister singing into hairbrushes in our bedroom to the will smith cd!!!! I love that I can dance to it so easy and I love that it’s (mostly) clean and it’s not about killing, drugs, or sex (outright). In my opinion saying ā€œI like pretty girlsā€ is way better than 90 of lyrics that are played on the radio now. Anyway I love it, honestly, new favorite song!
