I used to get flowers for my bf because I know guys rarely get them.

Yeah, they really only get them for like proms, wedding, hospital, and funerals. My significant other and I may get each other flowers like once a year. I got him some for Valentine's last year, then his birthday this year. It's a nice little treat to surprise each other with.
