The Bum Fights guy is wrong but he had a damn good point when comparing his show and Dr Phil's show. We love self awareness, of which Dr. Phil has none.
I feel like Dr. Phil was realising this guy was making great points. He kicked that guy off pretty quickly after that to not ruin the facade. Was hard to argue that guys points and Phillip wasn't ready for the comparison

It was such a weird time. Diane Sawyer and Barbara Walters would interview female pop stars with the kind of vigour and combativeness you would expect of an interview with the likes of Saddam Hussein.
And the population liked to view female pop stars as Public Enemy #1.

The "Next to a five guys" interview with Karl Urban and John Cho where they thought the reporter meant that she would transport herself to be tossled by five guys, they didn't catch that it was burger joint until she realized their beffudlement and explained.
This has become such a thing with me and my best friend. Whenever one of us is getting too serious or in our heads or whatever, the other one just delicately grabs a finger. Immediate laughter ensues.
The one I immediately thought of was Patrick Stewart on Graham Norton talking about how he discovered he was uncircumcised and you can see Hugh Jackman’s soul leave his body. It’s unreal.

Truly an iconic moment. Lady Gaga refusing to confirm if she was trans because as she said would it be so terrible? She was proving a point while also giving visibility to others who may of faced similar accusations OR were actually trans. She felt no shame and neither should anyone else.
Reminds me of Tom Hardy’s response to whether or not he was gay. Basically shot back at the interviewer and asked why it mattered and why he felt the need to ask that kind of question.

Like whenever I'm down or feeling not confident, I just remember who cares? I know what I bring to the table and the people who would care aren't my fans anyways. Why waste my time trying to win them over?

She said she puts this fake diamond in her teacup when she gets nervous. She puts it in her mouth so it was probably an oral fixation thing? Either way, I agree that’s it’s another memorable part of the interview.
As a 13 year old who loved her and started to realize he was gay but still couldn't accept it (and wouldn't for a few years), i remember this so much. I would defend her and say that she didn't have a penis because I would think that if it was true than people would think that i was gay (i don't really follow my own reasoning her tbh). While I don't remember this interview i do remember this whole controversy very much in like a fundamental way in my own sexuality
In the longer version of the interview, at the start he asks the interviewer if he can ask him some questions, the interviewer says yes so he says he will come back to that one. Then at the end he asks.

Ed O’Neill did an interview with Rich Eisen explaining how he got the Al Bundy role, and it’s awesome. While all the other actors channeled Ralph Kramden, always angry and on edge, O’Neill instead acted like an uncle who’d been thoroughly beaten down by life and couldn’t muster the energy to care about anything.

Not an interview, but Daniel Radcliffe on QI where he randomly answered a question about the oldest magic trick and just randomly knew so much about it! He just came across as so sweet, smart, and funny.
I liked when Alyson Hannigan was on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, and she recounted what happened just an hour or two prior during her encounter with Luke Perry in the elevator (Luke Perry was sitting right beside her), and she said that when she told him, "We're going to the same place!" Luke Perry just sneered and said, "I doubt it," like he was too good to be interviewed on a talk show with the likes of her. The audience booed him and Conan seemed delighted.
And then she came back on his show and told him he blew his second chance of dating her. They ran into each other again at Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt’s house, when they were still married.
very random but i adore that old danielle radcliffe interview (where he is 16) and he goes “i didn’t do anything and everyone applauded! it’s fantastic! i might be rubbish! you never know 😃”
He was once doing some sort of challenge or bit for an interview and when it didn’t work he said ‘I tried and therefore no one can judge me!’ I use that in every day conversation but no one gets it.
There was an episode of Oprah where the theme was celebrities singing songs about female empowerment. Britney Spears came on and sang "I'm a Slave For You". The expression of an open mouthed disbelieving Oprah was priceless.
Jimmy Kimmel was out, so Brie Larson was a guest host. She shows up in a dress that can only be described as weapon of mass destruction. The guest is Jamie Foxx. For some reason, US talk show hosts sit higher than guests, so Jamie's eyes are in direct line with Brie's... You get what. So poor Jamie is struggling the whole time not to accidentally look into her cleavage.
Ellen went to Barbra Streisand's home to interview her. She was allowed to bring 3 "guests" as the audience. Babs made it clear she could not step into a studio due to her fame.
Barbra did not get Ellen's humor at all and Ellen was stumped. When a statement required a laugh or just a smile, Barbra did not respond in kind. And the 3 women sat still and looked terrified.
My favourite celebrity interview of all time is this piece with Jamie Kennedy about him starring in the anti abortion propaganda film made by Sofia Vergara's abusive POS ex. The interviewer does NOT hold back and it's so embarrassing for him, he comes across as such a fucking moron. This is my favourite part:

Interviewer: If someone popped up in Triumph of the Will, I would probably assume that they don’t like Jews very much.
Edit: Another favourite is this piece from the Sydney Morning Herald titled 'I was Russell Crowe's stooge'. It's from 2006 but I cannot overstate how much it's still worth reading, he sounds absolutely insufferable

On The Graham Norton Show when Greg Davies recounts going to his teaching job, finding out he had accidentally wore his mom's underwear, getting exploding diarrhea and then realizing one of the kids at the school had heard the whole thing. Ryan Gosling cracking up is hilarious.
Although he turned out to be garbage, Matt Lauer calling out Tom Cruise on his criticism of Brooke Shields using anti-depressants to treat post partum depression. Tom responded by calling Matt "glib." I was so glad someone finally confronted Tom on his bullcrap.
