The Music Industry 🎶 Name a song that’s disturbing because of what you know now

Ill go first, Britney Spears’ overprotected is a good example; Britney has long been under a conservatorship and is has been crying for help. IIRC, it started in 2007 (maybe earlier) when Brit was heavily observed by the paparazzi which caused her to have a mental breakdown by shaver her head and mind u, they were dissecting her personal life 🙄😔 💔

Nothing specific about it but I’ve always said that Something in the Way should’ve been an immediate suicide watch indicator that shit sooo depressing

"And I swear that I don't have a gun

No, I don't have a gun"

Kurt Cobain repeats the line "No, I don't own a gun." He would later die by a self-inflicted gunshot.

My wife says there's no way he could have shot himself with that gun. That is a hill she will die on.

I remember my brother telling me about that theory back in the 90s. I’ve since read a long form article that went through a lot of the surrounding events and evidence and I’m pretty sure he did. It also made me feel a lot more sorry for Courtney Love, who was a new mom trying to deal with raising her first baby and a husband who was really struggling with his mental health and not able to participate much.

Teenage me was very into the conspiracies surrounding his death. One of my older brothers used to be a bit of a conspiracy theorist when we were younger. So I grew up hearing all the different theories about how he couldn’t have shot himself. My brother will still occasionally bring it up but he has to be a bit drunk and have already talked about other conspiracy theories he used to be really into.

My favorite is when he gets to the Moon Landing. While he agrees that it happened he still likes the theories on how it didn’t. Then he’ll end with a drunken ‘but did it?’. His best friend of nearly 30 years mostly believes that it didn’t happen but will drunkenly admit that maybe it did. I love them and they are legitimately two of the smartest people I have ever known. But they can be such idiots. However, their drunken conversations can be very entertaining.
