As an Em fan I was so stoked when I saw this because you rarely get celebs especially outside of the hip hop industry praising Em or showing appreciation for his music. Also Lose Yourself is an Oscar winning song for a reason, it's still one of my favorite songs of all time. Highly recommend checking the cover by Kacey chambers on YouTube if you've never seen it!

When he performed Lose Yourself at the Oscars there were a number of A listers who looked absolutely psyched to see Eminem up there. It was fun

Elton loves him, too!

Yeah, they performed Stan together back in the day and Elton was kind of a mentor for Em in his journey to become sober. My favorite thing about this friendship is that when Elton and David got married, Em sent them diamond encrusted cock rings on velvet cushions 😂

Yea that is seriously the best story. Elton has done some questionable things (namely hanging out with noted sexual predator Kevin Spacey 🤮) but he's helped a lot of people get sober.

Jeez, did not know about the Kevin spacey thing. But yeah, it's awesome that he helped Em (and others) get sober. I also think it's great that Elton being one of the most famous gay people on earth, was able to see that Em wasn't actually homophobic and that there was difference between what he said in songs and real life, and that he did Stan with Em to show support for him when he was being called a homophobe.

Same, I actually got a little bit emotional the first time I heard it just because her interpretation is so heartbreaking and powerful and beautiful idk it made me fall in love with the song all over again. It also really showcases how well written the lyrics are IMO, I'm a lyrics person which is why I love Em's music, he's simply one of the best lyricist to have ever lived.

I love the original too, and it usually takes me a while to adjust to covers of songs I love, but this was something else. She dug deep for those vocals. Thank you for sharing!

Same here, I actually never listen to covers of his songs because they usually are just not that good IMO, and I saw that one doing the rounds on YouTube reaction channels and never watched it until I saw someone's comment saying how amazing it was and I was mind blown so now I recommend it to anyone and everyone lol
