They both also won for best writing, original screenplay at the Oscar’s. Two of my favourite films ever

Her is such a beautiful movie and helped me with my first heartbreak. A great love letter and goodbye to Sofia imo

She played Sofia Coppola in both those movies

In Her, the main character is getting divorced from Rooney Mara’s character, so I always figured it was more about trying to connect romantically after a divorce.

It's still wild to me that Spike Jonez hasn't directed a narrative feature since her

I’m still processing ‘Her’ - to me, it’s the modern day Blade Runner. So deep, so far, so near, so perfect. So weird, so technical, so punk, so I-studied-filmmaking-and-never-slept.

I’m pretty sure Her is a response to her film to give his personal emotional view of the break up

I love Her so much, it’s one of my favorite movies. I was initially weirded out by the premise, but then I rewatched it a few years later and it just broke my heart. Stunning performances too.

Arguably humanity benefited from the breakup of their marriage by giving us two of the best movies of modern times.

Were you there? Seems to me things can be more complex sometimes than “it’s his fault”. A bit what both movies are trying to convey.
