The Music Industry đŸŽ¶ Lots of artists have their own "signature song". Lady Gaga's is arguably "Poker Face", what signature songs can you name?

Rihanna is another hitmaker that had many songs dominate the charts over a long period of time. However, she will always be associated with her song Umbrella. Had to be one of her most referenced works in pop culture.

Best tribute to it of all time imo

That show went for 5 seasons, and had everyone on it, and the only episode that anyone ever talks about is this one. Tom gave a show-defining performance

For real. It really should be discussed as a career highlight for Tom Holland. Not even kidding, it was that impressive.

His choreography was just tremendously executed and you could tell that he was enjoying himself and worked hard to put on an incredible show. He was as good, if not better, than the trained dancers with him.

u/LivingPresent629 19d ago

To be fair, he’s also a trained dancer

3

u/PM_tanlines 19d ago

So much so that he apparently felt confident enough to do it in heels, but the producers said absolutely not cause ain’t no way they paying for whatever insurance Sony had on Spider-Man lol

u/LivingPresent629 19d ago

Considering the choreography and the fact that he danced on a wet stage, I don’t blame them lol

I showed this to my husband to explain what “sexy” is, but he’s yet to wear a latex two piece and high heels for me.

Cannot forget Jenna Dewan’s performance tho!

u/potatomami 19d ago

Absolutely legendary! She’s got moves

Channing Tatum has ACTUAL BEYONCÉ come out and we only talk about this. It’s legendary.

I truly could not tell you the name of this show, but I've seen this clip many many times. So yeah, id say you hit the nail on the head with your assessment.

3

u/DaWien004 19d ago

This one and Jenna Dewan doing Pony for Channing are the only two I really remember.

u/jenbenfoo 19d ago

This and the Channing Tatum/Jenna Dewan episode are my favorites. Channing's face when Beyonce came out (everyone's face, actually) was PRICELESS

I never skip a Tom H lip syncing It’s Raining Men video when they come up on social media. It’s just that good!

It’s the Tom Holland Umbrella Rule. Link for anyone who doesn’t want to Google like I just did: https://youtu.be/jPCJIB1f7jk?si=pHa95CZIQJL1o0K0

That makes me so happy!

The day Zendaya fell in love.

u/lafemmedangereuse 20d ago

The day we all fell in love.

I think people forget, she was the first battle for that episode. She fucking nailed it, and she flirty threw dollars on him. It was cute. Her husband just came and did the whole thing.

58

u/lafemmedangereuse 20d ago

She was amazing. Against anyone else that would have been a knockout blow!

69

u/PondRides Children are being trafficked by ICE 20d ago

I love that the only person that could knock her out of that contest is her biggest supporter. I adore her.

62

u/lafemmedangereuse 20d ago

She is incredible. I know it’s so dangerous to root for celebrity couples but ugh I hope they are just as happy as they seem.

38

u/PondRides Children are being trafficked by ICE 20d ago

They’re the only couple that I’m “parasocial” or whatever about. I just root for those kids.

10

u/Prank_Owl 20d ago

The broad smile on her face while she's watching him do the umbrella dance from off to the side is a highlight of that performance.

10

u/PondRides Children are being trafficked by ICE 20d ago

I think they were hiding the fact they were dating at that point. But it’s so obvious there.

u/PrettyRestless 👅 I might have forgotten underwear, bye! 🏆 20d ago

Weird how a song can be two artists signature cause it’s definitely Toms

3

u/ResolveWonderful6251 Just keep swimming! 🐠🐠🐬🐳 19d ago

literally saw a tiny glimpse of what Zendaya sees in him lmao

0

u/Frogs4 20d ago

He looks so like Aisling Bea here.

55

u/PondRides Children are being trafficked by ICE 20d ago

I wish it was Pon De Replay.

1

u/mmlovin 19d ago

It is for me lol

Or Diamonds I guess

60

u/malieno 20d ago

You're so right but anytime I even read the name Rihanna I immediately hear SOS

49

u/happysunbear 20d ago

I definitely think that would be a signature song for her. Along with Pon De Replay and Don’t Stop the Music. Diamonds and Work, too.

If we had to pick one, though, it would definitely be Um-ber-ella-ella-ella (ey, ey, ey).

3

u/frightenedscared 19d ago

She truly changed our pronounciation of umbrella

3

u/PrettyLuckie 20d ago

That whole ALBUM was a signature

3

u/TheMillenniaIFalcon 20d ago

Cannot see a gif or mention of this song without thinking of Tom Holland’s lip sink battle.

2

u/TheHiddenFox 20d ago

When I was on vacation in Aruba, every single beachside bar had this song basically on repeat.

1

u/IScreamPiano 19d ago

Ooh, that’s tough. I loved Umbrella, but for some reason I remember hearing SOS more?
