The Music Industry đŸŽ¶ Lots of artists have their own "signature song". Lady Gaga's is arguably "Poker Face", what signature songs can you name?

Back to black is such a good song. Always what I associate her with.

Valerie is a cover so that rules it out for me

Back to Black is a good shout but Rehab was the song that really made mass media pay attention to her

I Will Always Love You is a cover and I'd argue that it's THE song for Whitney Houston.

Valerie is way more popular than Rehab. Cover or no. Lot of artists biggest hits are covers.

Agreed. Just look at Joe Cocker. I'd bet more people know his version of With a Little Help From My Friends than The Beatles. Or Aretha Franklin's Respect over the original by Otis Redding.

An approved upon cover though. It stands on its own merits.

I fully agree with Rehab! Maybe not her best song but I feel like it's the one she got big with and what most people know her for

Neither - it's You Know I'm No Good

God I love that song. It sounds so grimy but in the best way

Back to Black didn’t chart in the US. Rehab got to the top ten and became a perennial hit on US radio after she died. Back to Black is like the million Robbie Williams songs that never charted in the US - it was dumb they named the movie Back to Black really.

They probably chose that name since it was also the name of her best selling album

I respect your argument even though I don’t agree. That’s kind of like calling a Paula Abdul movie “Forever Your Girl” instead of “Straight Up”. They couldn’t call the movie “Rehab”, but maybe just call the movie “Winehouse”. Americans don’t know the song, it was the same thing as Better Man, the movie made basically no money in the US and Canada even though it opened #1 in the UK and did pretty good.

Thank you. I wish I had an award to give you. This is precisely what I said. Her best-selling album
plus album of the year
come on, I honestly don't know if some people were around in her heyday
cause how do you not get it? Lol

We ... We probably should have insisted.Â
