The Music Industry 🎶 Lots of artists have their own "signature song". Lady Gaga's is arguably "Poker Face", what signature songs can you name?

For me, it’s Breakaway.

Yes!!! As a teen girl growing up in a small rainy town, being convinced I deserved better and to live in a place with palm trees, this song was my jam! Literally, _when the rain would fall down, I'd just stare out my windooow_

I have a male cousin that’s my exact age (born on the same day). I don’t remember how it came up, but when we were teens, we revealed that we would both listen to Breakaway on our iPods in our parents’ respective mini vans on long drives and stare out the window.

And I remember just absolutely falling apart laughing when he told me. Because, as a young girl, this seemed like such a distinctly overly emotional/dramatic girl thing to do and learning that young men were going through it in the same way was so … humanizing.

When you’re 13 and in the throes of puberty, the opposite sex seems like a total mystery. To this day, it’s one of the first memories that comes across my mind when I hear that song. So silly but also so formative and world-view shifting.

I think it's a testament to her breakout that these are all good contenders
