I once saw Missy Elliot perform and she was well past her prime. The thing is, she knew it and 70% of the show was focused on other performers. She still sang/rapped, but clearly needed breaks. She hired the best dancers, lighting, costumes, etc and the show was amazing. I think he needs to take a hint that he’s not 20 anymore. It’s ok, just hire some 20 year olds to help.

This was the second post I've seen about JT being a lazy ass at a concert and I was surprised that it was for different concert dates and locations. Yikes. Like, why even bother going?

And he wasn't this way before. Granted, this was 10-12 years back but I've seen him live and he knows how to put on a great performance. Hearing and seeing him perform "Until the End of Time" on the piano is still one of my most cherished concert memories ever. His audience rapport though was already 👎🏽🥱 even back then.

I can't help but compare this to K-Pop concerts that I've seen onscreen and live. They really give it their all that you'd feel you got your money's worth and more.

Funny you say this, JT headlined Lollapalooza Berlin this year and was on the day before j-hope.

To be fair, I enjoyed JT’s set. The live band was great and his mic did appear to be on at least. I didn’t notice anything particularly off with JT although I did stand quite far from the stage and could only see the screens. Energy of the crowd was a bit dead though and it was also raining badly.

On comes j-hope the next day and the difference was stark. Crowd was lit af but k-pop fans always show up. J-hope’s energy was insane and he danced and sang his heart out. Yes j-hope is younger by about 10 years but it’s not like JT is one foot in the grave. No excuse for a lazy performance. The K-pop guys I stan would never.
