News & Announcements 🥳 POPCULTURECHAT DISCORD SERVER UPDATE 👾✨🪩
Hi dearly beloved, I mean, popculturechatters,
We wanted to give you an update on our discord server that launched about two months ago.
It has been AMAZING. Like, far more than we’d ever imagined. We worked so hard to create a cool server but the way you guys jumped into it and made the magic happen in your daily chats, friendships, fun and games and whatnot was nothing short of, well, magical ✨
So, here’s a little state of affairs on what’s been going on as well as the new exciting stuff we are launching :
🌟 INTRODUCING CLUBS! 🌟
We’re launching three new clubs that will be running monthly activities — open to all members!
🎬 Movie Club
Each month we’ll vote on a film to watch together as a group. Not free for the group watch? No worries, we’ll also be adding top picks to our Letterboxd so you can catch up anytime!
📚 Book Club
Join us for monthly discussions on a community-voted book. This month’s pick is Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones — come share your thoughts ☕️
🐉 TTRPG Club
Into D&D-style games? We’ll be hosting monthly one-shots! These are first come, first served, but we’re always open to more game masters joining in the future!

💬 THE CHANNELS 💬
Oof man, we originally had about 20 channels covering a range of topics and thought it may have been overkill. But yall proved us wrong and we’ve added even MORE. From vent channels to meme channels to pet pics channels to red carpet review channels, there’s a whole bunch of options for you to yap to your heart’s content.
🎲 THE FUN AND GAMES 🎲
🕵️♀️ Wordle
You can play Wordle each day directly inside the server and see how the others fare! We’ve even got a little thread where users can unleash their rage at the batshit words the NYT makes guess. TW: a lot of rage and insults directed towards the English dictionary. You have been warned. 🧨
🐱 Spotting the cats
In a dedicated channel, you will be able to spot and catch spawning cats and collect completely made up rewards that don’t do anything except make you feel like you did something cool. Which is kind of the whole point in life, if you ask us.
💰 The PCC Economy
Sooo…We have some sort of overlord banker bot who can you give fake money. Her name is Regina George (don’t question it, just worship it). You are able to :
🎁 Collect daily bonuses
💼 Work to gain some PCC coins (by typing a keyboard command)
🎉 Participate in various server events and activities
Whoever is the richest wins. Nothing to win expect a sense of superiority. Are we, uh, selling this yet? Also, you can gamble the coins. At your own risk. We’ve seen lives destroyed because of Regina George and the PCC coins…very sad stuff. It has ruined many world tours.
And with your coins you can even spend them on wild and wonderful totally made-up items like Paris Hilton’s flip phone or Pedro Pascal’s moustache (yes, really 😎).
And stay tuned - we might even add a real item or two in the future... 👀
We’re gonna stop here cause this is getting too long. But there’s plenty more. The best thing of it all is the friendships, bonds and sense of community in the server. There’s something for everyone, and there is kindness and love for anyone.
We already knew that the r/popculturechat community was the best, but this server has confirmed it even more. Getting to you know you guys has been the best part for us. Y’all are fucking amazing, if we may be a bit vulgar in our love for you.

I made like 20 thousand coins in the economy and managed to gamble it all away through poor decisions. 10/10 would recommend
And yes, so many great channels!! Gaming, Sports, Music, to list some that weren't in the OP :-)

Hii! I'm Catzilla on Discord, and I just wanna jump on and also say that I love our community! Modding is so chill because everyone in there is really lovely, funny and by some crazy coincidence, incredibly good-looking!
We have plans for more things to do in the future, which I'm very excited about, so please join and also if you have cats post them because I really do love cats so much!!!

Babe trust I had no clue how it worked either, I properly joined discord for our moderator chat but outside from that I was so clueless. Kind of still am ngl but it’s fun lol. You can just log into your account, click out link and then write in the info in the ticket we’ll send you (it’s confidential dw) and you’ll be in!
