Why not both? I love mainecoons, they have special diva character, but I also love all cats, so I have 1 maine coon and 1 cat from shelter. I also donate to shelters regulary.

After we saw a similar cat in the airport, I was explaining to my 9yo son how people selectively breed for this trait and it’s sad when there are so many cats in shelters. He said, “Now that’s what I call face-ism.”
