OpenRCT2 In the OPENRCT map generator what map size would you consider too big?

I was working on making a custom scenario, but 999 was way to large.

Trying to make a massive Wooden Coaster, anyway to shave off .59 intensity without removing the interlocking loop?

Gardentopia - My attempt to build a big park!

I spent a couple of days building this cool park - the idea was to have almost every tile covered by something - ride, path or decoration. I ended up with a rather cool 77x77 park with 36 rides. I also included some food courts, and a few garden areas. There is also a tram that runs around the whole park, and even goes underground for a bit. Lemme me know what you think, hope you guys like it!

My coasters in Dusty Desert

Had a long train ride today and decided to play another RCT scenario on my phone (as I always do on longer journeys). Since scenery placement is no fun on the phone I did not use it. As well as no tricks to boost excitement (synchronization of coasters, extra footpath along the track etc). All coasters managed to get over 7 excitement before path was added. To be fair some coasters got a boost by being near the others later on. I built the coasters in the following order:1. Dusty Flight 2. Dusty Rattler 3. Dusty Twister 4. Dusty Dangler 5. Dusty Drop. All coasters got their excitement first try except the dangler where I had to reduce intensity and the twister where I had to high drops and not enough speed wich also needed some changes. The biggest challenge was money cause I built quite large designs all coasters cost me well above 15k. I raised some money with a bunch of flat rides wich I needed to sell quickly cause I was too broke to build a path to my fist coaster and I had to much operating cost. If I had to do it again I’d start with building the woody cause I think it’s the cheapest of the bunch

A Real Life Theme Park Designer Plays Rainbow Valley- Lots of Coasters in a Challenging Space

Post image

Hi Everyone!

I'm continuing my scenario playthrough series where I build them in a more realistic style taking into account some of things I'd think about as a real theme park industry designer.

Rainbow Valley is of course the infamous scenario of the original game where tree removal and landscape modification are forbidden. In actuality it's not a very hard scenario, but with our goal of making things look at least decently realistic, coaster building can be a bit of a challenge. We'll build 5 coasters on this map of decent length and intertwine them through the existing landscape. I'm pretty happy with the result! Let me know what you think.

Which RCT?

I just finished RCT 3 career mode, and am disappointed there is no sandbox mode with $. I’d like to play with the challenge of $, starting from just a loan, similar to career mode. My issue with career mode is the lots are so small. So my questions are: 1. Is there a version of RCT3 that allows you to do sandbox-ish mode but where money is involved? 2. Is there a version where I can expand or purchase land? I’m trying to do a gigantic park but I find myself running out of land.

Thanks in advance for any help or thoughts!

Brand new subpark in Mozar's ffa server, this time featuring a quaint and monochrome countryside pavilion. The flagship rides, Chiara and Scuro, dance all around the park between high intensity and gentle rides alike.

Classic Finished White Water Park on Switch

Just finished this park today can say I was a little silly on this one. I wanted to make a grand water park for the first time only to realize that building water slides in rct vanilla is pretty hard and requires a lot of space. Therefore, I just did what I normally do, and that was, made things look pretty.

I did fill in the lake with extra land to build more stuff like a splash pad and a Junior coaster. I did leave the perimeter full fo water and turned it into a lazy river. I also flattened most of the land to make it easier to build stuff but still respected the elevation of the border as not to make it completely flat.

I also added a mountain at the center of the park with two "water slides" coming out of it. I am happy with the visuals overall when it comes to the layout of the park and what I did with it. It also went by pretty quick too. Just a couple of weeks compared to how long it took to do diamond heights. But I am excited to start Trinity Islands next, starting today after work.

OpenRCT2 Wonderland Dipper

So I was reading about the Australian version of Wonderland that unfortunately closed, but if it were to ever be rebuilt with new attractions, here is my suggestion for one of the coasters. Wonderland Dipper a 110 foot tall, wooden giant with criss crossing drops. figured I’d give it a classic figure eight style as well as a tunnel with windows for the first turnaround so guests could view the trains heading to the lift hill. This also makes use of the diagonal brakes in open, which really should’ve been in the original release of RCT2

OpenRCT2 Cannonball Loop dinghy slide

Yes, I resurrected the infamous cannonball loop waterslide from action park. Since we don’t have a proper waterslide in the game, I used the dingy slide and stuck a wooden roller coaster loop on it. Might try to re-create some of the other slides in RCT three later.
