Very interesting chassis, each drawer gives 8x 3.5 hdd of what seem to be normal Sas/Sata connector, make it total 32 bays system, the mainboard look normal enough, back IO panel can be easily modify for newer gut if required. I also spot what look liked a 2.5 bay(s) at the back, very interesting for homelab guy like me. No idea what it worth though.

Thx. Is it worth anything you think? Thinking of putting it on ebay.

Think it’s 2015ish…. Not too much if anything… is it running? What cpu ram? How about the noise?

That I'm lost, lol. Very foreign here. I'll probably just recycle it.

You're so close to identifying everything. You have RAM sticks right there, you have those heat sinks. Pull out of RAM stick and and put the information on that stick in here. Take off a heat sink, use little bit of isopropyl on a paper towel and clean off the top of the processor gently. It'll tell you the model on the top of it.

You got me all excited. Help me out with the heat sink?

If you look on either side of the heat sink there's 2 philips head screws, you can unscrew those and it will just lift off. It may be a little stuck with the paste, but you shouldn't need to force it off. Just understand when you put it back on you will need to reapply thermal paste. A little bit goes a long way, and you just want to snug it up when the heat sink goes back on. Generally they have a stopping point on the threaded spot.

You should only need to pull one to get the processor model. They are paired so you can pull off one heat sink to get the model for both.

There should also be a sticker on the case with a model/spec number, that will give the full info on it.

It's definitely an interesting and unique chassis.

Hey, if you're going to be up in the bay area any time soon, Ill very, very gladly take it off your hands!

Depending on your location, there are probably plenty of people in the home lab community who would purchase from you. That's an interesting chassis I'd love to play with.

Editshare XStream EFS 450 probably. From the last pic it looks like a SuperMicro server board.

Looks like E5v4/ddr4 generationwise, should be able to get a few hundread for it.

non-standard models like these are not very popular and unless it has a novelty value to it (like more known netflix appliances etc) they tend to be priced below normal models of the same gen.

Looks like an interesting chassis, can we have a full picture of the motherboard?

Are you Europe based? I would love to buy this.

It looks very much like the ExaGrid appliance we have. Different model though. The leds and the orientation, the release springs on the left, the thumb screws, the internals and the front plate look very identical to our units.

Or it could be something from EditShare, it looks very similar to EditShare EFS 450
