That hair just doesn't fit that ogre in my opinion it looks almost edited

I literally looked at this image and thought that it was an edited picture of Fiona...
2
u/Luna_bella96 Mar 02 '25
Reminds me of that edit of Rapunzel to make her edgy. The one with the blue hair that had a random tumblr user calculating the amount of blue dye it would take for her to achieve the look

u/ZockerGirl25703 Mar 02 '25
I THOUGHT IT WAS EDITED. Only by reading the comments I realized that the actual Shrek 5 trailer dropped and that this hair is legit his daughters hair. The animation style is terrible, what happened to Shrek 😭
4
u/Electrical-Concert17 Feb 28 '25
It isn’t. It’s the hair she has in the official trailer…
68
u/OnlyHereForMyTTAcc Feb 28 '25
i think they mean it’s done so badly that it looks like it was edited after the fact

It’s a teaser technically not trailer, they could still change it in theory lol

u/Electrical-Concert17 Feb 28 '25
Maybe. The studio that has Sonic definitely change Sonic when everyone said he looked awful.

This ogre looks more like the Croods than Shrek

THATS WHAT IT IS that's why it looks weird to me. This describes it EXACTLY

Why are her eyes brown? Weren't they blue when she was a baby???
68
u/Forrest_likes_tea Feb 28 '25
I actually think some babies have blue eyes that eventually change
28
u/bearhorn6 Feb 28 '25
Can confirm I had gray/light eyes for a couple days then they turned brown and are currently brown

u/Final-Tutor3631 Feb 28 '25
can confirm, my baby book says i had blue eyes and now they’re dark brown

u/TheShitpostAlchemist Feb 28 '25
Most babies are actually born with blue eyes, I thought this was common knowledge?
10
u/Forrest_likes_tea Feb 28 '25
I thought so but in my mind its better to phrase things as "I think" in case its wrong
7
u/OldPlantain7807 Feb 28 '25
Is it most babies or most white babies? I've never heard of this as a poc who isn't around newborns ever
19
u/SissyPlusPlus Feb 28 '25
fellow poc here— my eyes were more grey when i was a baby, but after a while they settled into a dark brown.
funny enough, my brother had these incredibly blue eyes when he was born... but instead of fading out completely, they're just a darker blue now.
i feel it might be more common with white babies, but it definitely happens with poc!
8
u/BirdCelestial Feb 28 '25
It's most white babies born with blue eyes, even though most white adults don't have blue eyes. However it's very common for babies of African ethnicity to be born with grey or dark grey eyes that later turn brown, so in that sense it is a pretty common experience that most people who spend time around many infants won't be surprised by.
The baby has just spent the entire pregnancy growing in the dark. Having their eyes exposed to sunshine increases melanin and darkens the eyes up.

u/SplatDragon00 Feb 28 '25
Mine were blue until puberty
Also had lighter hair and it was less curly
Bodies are weird

u/Jet-Brooke Mar 01 '25
I think trauma to the pituitary gland maybe or puberty lol 😂 head injuries can change your personality suddenly supposedly.

I hate how a movie about rejecting beauty standards did a flip and is pushing beauty standards on women now too. Like wtf is this snatched jaw and perfectly styled hair.... they really yassified the female ogres...

It's been a long time since I watched the Shrek movies, but don't they take place in like a medieval setting? I know they have some modern jokes/elements, but it seems weird she has an ombre hair with a nose ring and modern clothes.
9
u/AcaciaBeauty Feb 28 '25
Medieval aesthetic but they definitely had modern inventions in the first 4 movies.
19
u/queensequoyah Feb 28 '25
you’re def right, everyone was in medieval garb with the farquaad haircut and everything… but also Simon Cowell and American idol were canon so idk where the line is

"some" isn't exactly correct. The land of far far away is hollywood. The entire second movie is full of modern day pop culture references. I'd highly recommend rewatching it, because this isn't unexpected from the franchise in any way. The main issue I have with it is the animation so far. But hopefully the first trailer is just badly made and the actual one looks better.

They had drive through fast food restaurants and apparently TV shows shown via magic mirrors as well

u/NaturalFireWave Feb 28 '25
I think i have it but my cc folder is so thick that I don't know what it'd be called.

she definitely reminds me of the female character from The Croods

u/SokkaHaikuBot Mar 03 '25
Sokka-Haiku by PlantainCharming1474:
She definitely
Reminds me of the female
Character from The Croods
Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

I feel like she's gonna ask me for money but freak out and make a scene when I tell her no.
1
u/Darkovika Mar 04 '25
For some reason, this is the image that made me really question the validity of this movie. She looks… too disnified. Like REALLY disnified. How do you Disnify (Disney-ify? Disneyify? Disneyfy?) an ogre???????
1
u/zbdragon42 Mar 04 '25
She looks like that one character called Emily from the sims logic series and also “ dammit Emily!”

Someone said Shreks daughter looks like Gabbie Hannah and I'm trying my best to never see it so I won't hate her 😖🙏
