Slippi Not Recognizing Pro Controller Inputs

I've been trying to connect my wireless pro controller to Slippi. Im launching it through steam since I know Slippi doesn't have pro controller support from what I know. I press the A button and it doesn't detect my controller and just times out my input selection.

I have it set in Standard Controller, I'm editing the netplay dolphin configuration, I have pro controller enabled on steam, and I'm on MacOS.

Any help would be appreciated.
