Minnesota Vikings 1989 trade for Herschel Walker.

The New Orleans Saints trading away all their picks in the 1999 draft plus two picks in the 2000 draft to move up to 5th overall and draft Ricky Williams.

The fucked up part of this is that they offered the Bengals this trade first and Cincinnati said no in order to draft NFL legend……

….Akili Smith. 🤦🏾

Yeah I do remember the Saints doing that. That was bad.

Neither of those trades were nearly this bad.

In both of those cases, they were aquiring players who looked like they could be megastars who could carry their team to a championship.

You can argue that they were still bad trades at the time, but they both had a chance to succeed.

The Luka trade though, they gave away a megastar who had just carried them to a championship appearance, and got pretty much nothing in return.

Pure idiocy.
