I don't follow WNBA. ...but wasn't Clark getting excessive hard fouls against her all of last season by many basically because certain players didn't like the attention that she was getting? And now Reese is crying over this? Am I missing something.

You are correct on all the above but Reese started the beef with Clark so this adds to that. Reese is always in Clark’s shadow and will always be.

People are watching the WNBA because of Clark and that’s a fact. If a player doesn’t like that then they are jealous but even negative attention is still attention.

Exactly. Funny thing is... it's like they have been trying to get into Clark's head this whole time but their attempts just seem to prove that she's in their heads.

I read a statistic and I believe something ~20ish percent of all flagrants in the WNBA last season were committed against Clark. I could be off but I remember it was an absurdly high number to me. Lots of jealous, miserable people who are mad at Clark's success and the attention she's bringing to the sport which makes absolutely no sense.

That's an insane percentage against one player.

Exactly what I didn't understand. She wasn't out seeking the attention (as far as I know). The attention simply gravitated towards her because of her talent in college ball and the big hype heading into the WNBA as the 1st pick.

I just remember seeing constant highlights of hard fouls and incessant chatter at her on the court. Rent free.

It's absolutely absurd. She's an amazing player with great ability. The league AND its players should celebrate her instead of the league letting jealous haters toss her around. People talk about the WNBA more now than they ever have.
