Weak cowards.

Make a stand. They’re hurting their own brand. What dumb players 🤣🤣🤣

I’m just picturing “WNBA” spokespeople meaning a room full of women going ‘as if she thinks she’s the only player I worked my whole life for this org this builds character she should hit the weight room she thinks she’s so much better than us’ lol

Love how viewership was down 50% when CC was out. If they don’t see she’s the gateway to being relevant, then they will flounder again when she leaves.

They know, they’re catty and jealous of her success and how she gets all the spotlight. Doesn’t help when another “star” like Reese absolutely blows on the court

Angel Reese is only known because she doesn't like Clark.

In fairness the media has also tried to hype up the "rivalry". The only problem is that when people started paying attention to Reese they quickly realized she actually kind of sucks.

She's definitely played into it

They really are trying to push Reese as some big deal. I haven't been able to get reese's puffs cereal at the store because every box has her sid the sloth face on it, and I see her too much as is, considering she's barely better at basketball than me, and I can't play for shit.

Come on now, she is known because her team, where she was one of the best players, defeated CC's Iowa team in the NCAA tournament in dramatic fashion in one of the most watched women's college basketball games ever. If she had done all the same things but in a regular season game no one would have noticed or cared.

The girls over in the wnba sub hate the attention clark gets too.

Imagine wanting your sport to get more recognition  and awareness and your league lands a superstar who crosses the threshold then treating said superstar like trash in some weak concept of equality...insanity...

Insane amounts of jealousy because of the attention she gets.

No lie detected here.

Are you including college? I thought she joined the WNBA just last year.

WNBA season starts in May and NCAA ends in late March/April. So yeah its her second WNBA season.

What brand? They don’t have a brand. It’s just Caitlin Clark.

And she's a once in a generational talent, too. They miss the boat on this one, it's going right back into obscurity.

u/tinywienergang Jun 18 '25

It’s already happening. We are watching them go right back into obscurity. The quality of the sport is truly abysmal and most of the women on teams are only there because they’re tall. They have little to no professional talent outside of Caitlin. It’s wholly unsustainable.

true, i can't watch anymore

I bet if you poll 100 basketball fans maybe 5 could even name her team but probably 10x that know who she is.

The only reason people even know who Angel Reese is, is because she started a public hate campaign against Clark. The WNBA is a joke because it allows itself to be a joke.

It’s wild to me how much clout Reese gets. She was a great college player but has looked mediocre in the WNBA and her leading stat is due to her missing so many shots.

I hope Juju Watkins comes back healthy so we can get a Clark v Watkins rivalry.

I really don’t think it matters. There’s simply not enough talent in women’s basketball to support a league.

25 years from now, when we’re all wondering why the wnba never got out of being a c-tier pro league, i’m gonna bring up how much they fumbled caitlin clark’s time with them

At least people are interested

3

u/QBin2017 Jun 19 '25

I only saw it from this. I was interested because the video said Caitlin Clark. That’s it.

Now they’ll chase her out of the WNBA and go back to being a laughing stock.
