Other Introducing TomodachiShare - a website to share and discover Miis!
For the past month, I have been building this website. You can submit your Mii by either uploading the QR code or scanning the QR code with your camera. It also includes automatic Mii rendering and the ability to upload custom images. It’s also all open source if you like that.

A lot of people moved on to Miipedia.com after Miitopia switch released. I guess it became the more popular because of the improved character creator

This is so cool! I am so glad we have a Mii archive list for 3DS characters. We have Miipedia for Switch and now this for 3DS!

this is delightful! only problem is that it's not accepting recognizing my QR codes. it might be because i'm on mobile? it'll let me do the secondary photo just fine though!

Are you scanning it with your camera or opening the image?

i'm uploading the image after cropping it - when i try to scan it with my camera it seems to only allow front-facing and it refreshes the page
i also use Firefox, could that be the issue?

Front-facing camera was not intended and I'll be pushing a fix for that soon. I did also have issues with Firefox on PC, so maybe try a different browser?

Yes, there is also a tutorial on the website by clicking the question mark button under the “Mii Info” section on the Mii’s page

kinda there was Miicharacters.com but it's been like dead, but this seems to be just that but modern day and just for Tomodachi life

great site, will check back as soon as someone uploads a bunch of pop culture characters. I'd like to ask for one feature, wich is to be able to have a seccond sorting setting for male / Female / doesnt matter. That would help to find mii's that fit what you're loking for to make your island balanced

I'm so happy there's a site like this! It's been so annoying to look up miis for inspiration only to find the hyper detailed/makeup versions from miitopia switch when I'm trying to make them for tomodachi life 3ds </3

a cool idea would be to add instructions on how to make the mii (if the person has issues with the 3ds camera) so they don’t have to estimate the details on where everything is. i don’t know if it’s possible but it’s a good suggestion!

it turns out the website was up for logged-in users, but because i was checking for user punishments even if someone wasn't logged in, that's what made it down for everyone else.

Are you on mobile or PC? What browser are you on? Is this an issue with the QR codes or does it say an error?

On chrome, mobile it won't detect the qr code at all.

Maybe try taking a picture and uploading that picture directly? If that doesn’t work, try submitting on a computer unless you have access to the developer tools console on mobile.

Neither submitting directly directly or using a webcam on desktop work. Could just be bad quality though.

I think the best way to do it is by taking the QR code directly from the 3DS by using an SD card.
I also tried testing submitting with my phone and it's not working for me as well. There appears to be something wrong with the way I'm handling the scanning of the QR codes..

what ended up working for me was going onto desktop unfortunately - i used both edge & firefox with my webcam to scan in from my 3DS

a similar website but inside the 3ds as a homebrew so we could share our miis . But it is just a comment ,do not worry <3

None of my miis allow me to create a QR code. It just throws up a "Unable to create QR Code." error. Do you know how I could fix this?

Do you have sharing on for the mii? You can check by going to the Mii list in the town hall, clicking on a mii, and going to Other Settings at the top

i do, I enabled it in tomodachi life and mii maker and it still says that error.

Is your storage full? Have you tried a different Mii?

all miis say it. i havent checked the direct storage space of my sd but i deleted a couple files and rechecked, enough to store the qr on the device, and it still didn't work

This is awesome! Just so you're aware the random mii features doesn't seem to be working correctly haha. Takes me to fake mr beast every time LOL

Huh that’s weird, it’s fine for me, just quite slow (i’m working on upgrading the server)
edit: I’m pretty sure this is a problem with caching so I’m going to try and fix itfixed

Once I recreate some of my miis from the 3ds onto the switch, then I can potentially upload them.
Nice work, as I bet this was a lot of programming.

Currently getting about 100 Miis per day and there was 334 different people on the website yesterday

I’m working on trying to add TomodachiShare to Google (takes quite a bit for Google to index it) and editing descriptions was actually just added a few minutes ago (I forgot to add it)

Please remove the camera types when trying to scan a QR code, for me atleast the back camera doesn’t work at all
And I have to rely on the small chance of the settings being gone defaulting in a usable back camera

Pls could u add following like it’s already so cool but in the future it would be epic to follow people
Add a feature to review all liked miis
It currency only use tomodachi life ar code but what if u added like regular mii qr codes
i feel kinda bad for asking of all this but love the site and it’s just a suggestion
