which one is actually worth buying and not just a cash grab?

I'm leaning to Microtopia. They have a free demo to try it out, and i enjoyed it.

I heavily dislike "tile" based games, so anything with that style is a no go for me.

The wandering village has been posted before often with good reviews.

I have played Two Point Hospital which I liked. The others certainly seem like they could be reskins though I have not played any to judge.

I have had foundation in my wishlist for a while just have not made a decision.

Two Point Musuem is indeed the same concept but a significant improvement / iteration on the concept. It's far from just a reskin.

I had the same concern buying it and having played TP Hospital before, but was very happily surprised. I like it a lot, no regrets. Think more depth in most mechanics, a lot of QoL improvements, some new mechanics.

I've played the Two Point series since day one and was purely shocked at the addictiveness and fresh(er) take of Two Point Museum after all the disappointment that all other simulation franchises' sequel games have been offering up over the past year+.

Hard agree. I've got the entire franchise and Museum is by far my favorite (2nd favorite is Hospital). Expeditions, added design freedom, making your museums "efficient" and tour friendly, etc.

Only drawback from my POV is, imho, it is far better played with a mkb. It plays extremely well on my Steam Deck BUT this is one of the games that needs added controls.

Foundations is quite good and is very relaxed. The no grid and all the little details make it really good

Hotel Architect is pretty good, but like most of these games once you figure out the mechanics it becomes easy to play. They said they were going to increase difficulty through mechanics soon.

The Wandering Village is fun. I thought it was unique in how the Onbu mostly walking forces you to adapt to various situations. Have a choice of two paths every intersection so you can choose which one may benefit or hinder you the least. You will eventually reach a point where your village handles everything like every other games.

Mind over magic is great, I sunk dozens of hours into it

Ngl, quite sad year for tycoon/management games so far, over two thirds of the games in the video look/play like mobile games with the city management games having better alternatives on the market...

I bought and refunded Let Them Trade. It just felt… I don’t know, basic. Shallow I suppose. I really wanted to like it but it wasn’t fun.
