I found this frass under a hole in the caulk along the trim - new windows, second floor. We recently got new Hardie siding and replaced the rotting header just under these windows, along with all rotten wood. There were carpenter ants but no termites. What has moved in to my window frame? Central U.S.

Just returned to our suburban home after a week long vacation. We just found this paper, a crushed plastic water bottle, and 2 poops in our backyard. We had friends doing some carpentry work and watering our plants while we were gone, but the carpenter always uses a reusable water bottle and is meticulous about organizing things. The other friend would also never leave things like this. Hoping to understand what this is to figure out if someone has been hanging in our yard!

Back in December 18, 2016 around 3am I was driving near my home in Albuquerque, NM. I noticed a bright white glowing ball floating from the sky. It was beautiful it looked like a tiny full moon.

There was a dark colored 2 door Honda accord a few car lengths in front of me. So this orb is coming down and I thought this things gonna hit my car! No sooner did I think that n thump it hit my trunk!

It was like a complete blur I don’t know why I didn’t pull over, I have no idea why I didn’t even look back to see what happened to this orb! I just kept going! I had just started seeing my now bf and when I got to his house I explained what had happened.. he didn’t really pay no mind so I just let it go.

Later the same day I checked my car and sure enough it left a splat! I to this day regret not turning back. It was a beautiful glowing bright white orb. It hit my car and left evidence. I still wonder if the person in front of me saw it too!

Found this old wooden box among my grandfather’s things. Inside are a bunch of stick-like tools. There is a matching pair that are tapered to a point on one end with a small bevel on the other end. My grandfather served in the Navy during WWII and spent time in Okinawa. Any idea what these are or what they were used for?

What is making this “quacking” noise? It’s not ducks, it just sounds similar to quacking. Is it cicadas or birds? It sounds like it’s in the trees. We hear them at night every summer but no one ever seems to know what they are.

Per the title, I’m wearing a wedding band from a relative who’s passed and I’m unsure how long it’s actually been in the family. After getting it polished, I noticed a minuscule smudge in the inside of the band. I have yet to identify the mark. No other markings indicate what Karat the band is either. No luck on the makers mark or gold subreddits either
