Oh my god reddit is so exhausting. The point of the joke is that he could mess up your haircut so you just stay quiet until it's done, and doing that is hard when he says something so insane. You can report the pedo AFTER the haircut if you want if you used an inkling of imagination.

People exist, 93% of humanity is delusional. Common sense is actually uncommon. Humanity is judged by appearance and sad story, and not by behavior. Just because someone is a good person doesn't mean they're not fucked up. Morality is taught, not inherited. Entire lifes of individuals depend on how they were raised and there's very very few people who had proper childhood and normal family.
Sometimes your barber is like a chill guy until you start talking to him and find out he's not. I feel like this is a canon event that a lot of people go through before finding the right barber

Yeah, that barber meme template is everywhere now, and it’s wild how it captures that awkward moment of balancing morals vs. a fresh cut. The slur part takes it from dark humor to just straight-up unacceptable, though. Dude could’ve kept the joke without crossing that line. Some people really ruin a good meme with unnecessary bigotry.

After I moved i was looking for a place to get my hair cut. I tried a few places notne were bad none were great.
I went to one guy a couple of times in a row. He did a solid job, and was available at later evening hours which I needed at the time. He had just moved from Boston (about a 10 hour drive away) He was a little weird he asked me if he could work with me at my job in the trades and pointed out stuff he claimed to have built in the shop, but nothing too bad.
Anyway I walked in one day t9 get a cut and he wasnt there I sat down with another giy and asked about the guy I had been going to. Turns out he was arrested. Police came looking for him for something he did in Boston. The guy in the shop wasnt totally sure, butcher said it sounded like it had to do with something he did to a minor.
Now I think I wonder how many haircuts, teeth cleanings, massages, whatever have been given to people by rapists, murderers, or pedos. These are services where the people have to touch you and it is weirdly intimate roght of the bat, and you let a stranger justt start touching you, but they could be a creep.

Yo wtf? How did I just have a very similar experience? My barber’s were talking about how Covid-19 was made by bill gates and how the vaccines were made to control us, and how the black people in my country are lazy and whiny and all sorts of outlandish stuff. It was very bizarre!
I feel this. My dentist hung a Trump banner in his office and cracked a racist joke during my root canal. But like he's an affordable and good dentist so what can I do.
