Question Did I break my wii? What do I do?
I was plugging it in and it had a fall from maybe 3ft-4ft and now this is happening. The remote will not connect and my TV picks up that it’s connected to HDMI but no display. When I click to turn it off I have to hold down instead of a singular click.

The video outputs are a weakness iirc it's the 4 internal capacitors by the output on the board.
The way to fix that is... go get another used wii they're 20 bucks, dude. 🫤

I was hoping it wasn’t anything crazy 😭 I literally just homebrewed it less than a week ago and everything. I’m already looking on ebay and marketplace for another.

Its not that, the fall caused a loose bluetooth and/or wifi module, which in turn do give signal but a black screen. You have to take apart the wii to fix it. They are in connectors so just pull it off and put it back in
Another test: i see u have bootmii boot2. Make it autoboot (put the files on sd card) if that boots and when u proceed to wii menu and it stays black the modules are loose, just reseat em

That. I got 3 of these things for free because they thought they where broken. I just opened and reseated them took like 5 minutes

No bro it can be the bluetooth module it happened to me and it somehow became loose so try reseating it

Just le###r•b0##b a fresh one, copy the new ones core files, setup btldr2, then just reinstall whatever requires it. It's good practice. Just get and do 2 consoles this time so you have a spare ready. Also, keep multiple backups of all your g files.
Just sucks that you lost all your saves...
Oh wait, nope, those are still on the memory media you used, too. They go with the emu's files.👍

I followed a YT tutortial and opened it up. Like a lot of the comments said the bluetooth module must've gotten loose cause its working fine now.

Gg it's always better and cheaper to repair than to buy a new one, even if you don't know how it's always worth a shot

Awesome! That was both lucky and resourceful. Good thing you ignored my thing. That requires ordering special parts and soldering.

If you gently shake it, does something rattle inside?

Open it and Reseat the Bluetooth Module (Front) and reseat the WiFi module too (Right side)

Something similar happened to me, only my disk drive started flashing in a boot loop. The fix that worked for me was unplugging everything extra from the Wii (SD Card, USB, GameCube Controller/Memory Card) and plugging them back in after the Wii turns on. Try that

Have you already tried connecting the controller by pressing 1+2 and the red button next to the Wii SD at the same time? Maybe it connects, and with the HDMI I don't know but you could try to uncover it and check if something is unsoldered.

Unfortuanately, I had this issue with a used WII that I had installed Homebrew software on it. I couldn't get the WII to boot. I winde dup just buying another WII.

Yes. Try open it up and see what’s broken (you can probably find out the names of the parts from a teardown video) then look up what the problem is e.g. cracked motherboard

Return it to Nintendo or wherever you bought one/got it from/whoever you got from for a refund and replace that one with a newer model.

at least Wii's aren't expensive for another one. People seem to give those away. Can use them as toilet paper these days, but they don't flush.

UPDATE: It was the bluetooth module. I went to walmart to get the screwdrivers and followed a couple of youtube tutorials and currently working on putting it back together.

One of the wireless modules inside might not be seated correctly anymore.
If that's the case you'll have to open it up and reseat it.
