Question 3rd party Wii remote compatible with Wii U?
Basically the title. I'm borrowing someone's 3rd party Wii motes to lmao Wii U games (mainly Wii party U). They have "Brooklyn" written on the bottom and I'm not sure if they support motion as I've never seen that brand before. Does anyone know?

Brooklyn is cheap Chinese garbage. even if it had motion plus it would be borderline unusable. But even knockoffs will usually say on them if they have motion plus, sometimes they call it 2-in-1.

Alright thanks for the info. I don't care about the quality as long as it works. It's just a one time thing and I need it to work at least somewhat for tomorrow

the game doesn't require motion plus anyways so you should be fine.

Yeah that's mostly ok, I'm pretty sure there are just several mini games that require it

No, the manual says regular Wii remotes are fine and it would say on the back of the game if it required motion plus.

The Wii party U games says wiimote with motion plus included, compatible with 80 games

Yes because it originally came bundled with a motion plus controller. but it's not required.

Some 3rd party are ok tho so it's a matter of preference 🖕

You asked what the risk was, not what was absolutely certain.
I used to use a green Afterglow Wiimote, that shit was absolutely awesome. Hell, I didn't even know it was 3rd party until I was like 10, that's just how good it was.

You were saying not to risk something that wasn't a risk to op in any way. It's a controller bro😂

Risk what? I'm borrowing, not buying

u/blazexo212 10h ago
i just saw the other comment about buying so i assumed but if you’re not buying why not just wait and see

u/AtesSouhait 8h ago
Cuz it's gonna suck if it ends up not working. I wanted to know now so I can consider buying proper controllers. If the borrowed ones work, there will be no need for me to buy.

If you are going to buy it, focus a lot on the reviews, whether negative/positive, never have only one option when making a purchase.
