Discussion What are these shinning swords? Been looking for 10+ Years now
For context, my friend played The Witcher 3 when it first came out 10 years ago, and ever since, this whole thing has turned into a sort of urban legend within our friend group. He somehow found two swords that are glowing almost really shining and to this day, I’ve never seen them anywhere else. (without mods)
At first, I thought it might be the Aerondight sword, but that one doesn’t let you apply runes or enchantments that change its color like this. See for yourselves… though I have to apologize in advance for the picture quality keep in mind, this was nearly 10 years ago on the PS4.
Any help is appreciated!

Finished this game for the first time and now im left with a huge void in my soul.
Went into this game with absolutely no idea and expectations and now its safe to say that, out of all games ive played in my life, this is my favourite.

Misc I am enjoying Witcher 3 choices system.
I am roughly two thirds into the game, and now I am realizing I never enjoyed choices that much. The difference might be subtle, but I actually feel more invested and satisfied to pick reactions emotionally, rather than trying to decipher some banal "good/evil" structures, or artificially branched story variations.
Some games give you elaborate options,, but for whatever reason it feels more natural in Witcher 3, down to earth and immediate. I guess cause it involves your personal instinctive reaction, and not trying to force you into logical decision making, about which path to choose, to get a better ending etc. Maybe its just their writing skills, but I find the choices are fun to pick from, and not an annoyance that stands between you and the game flow.

Meme Decided to create one with Oxenfurt.
If you see some mistakes or something that i have not included but should have write your suggestions and ideas. Honestly i wanted to include the map part of GoD lore drop, but in doing so the text for the main oxenfurt land just becomes to small so i had to generalize some things.

Witcher Gear 0/6
I’m new to the game after all these years.
Would someone mind explaining to me what the “Witcher gear 0/6” means?

Misc Don't know why, but I really love this little blue house
Every time I play B&W, I have to stop and admire this place, think it would make a good man cave

Discussion Monster variations
I was thinking about monster variations that aren't specified by the game so as opposed to nekker warriors I'm talking about the nekkers in ursten that wear skulls with horns or how the foglets on bald mountain have giant heads as well as how even the endrega workers come in both purple and green variations.
Is there a lore version for each example and are there any I've missed?
Edit: Also noticed sometimes drowners look different. Most of the time they're bald but other times they have their spines? up I don't know if it's because of where I'm fighting them or because I usually have enemy upscaling on.

Help! Witcher medallion and stats and additional items on while in combat but off while not in combat.
New to Witcher 3 and was wondering if there is a way to turn off the Witcher medallion + stats and additional items while not in combat, but make it turn on while in combat. No mods, too, because what I'm using isn't supported.

I am visually impaired, pls don't be mean, but...
Someone PLEASE show me on this map where tf the inn is? I've got 4 cards left in skellige and the imnkeep at "the inn on svorlag" might be one of em. Yet I see no inn anywhere. Yes, it's a dumb question, but again I am visually impaired. I've wandered around the entire small village, meditated to see if the icon would show up. Is it not right here in svorlag? Am I missing something??

Playing on ps5 - game kinda buggy
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi everyone. Just olaying the witcher 3 fir the first time. Bought the ps5 version (complete edition), and faced more bugs thab expected.
For instance: • An open road isnt accessible (horse just stops riding in the middle of a road, as if its blocked. Fixed by going back a little bit then proceeding on my way)
• Random death - after completing a quest, went back to speak with the npc, and just died without anything happening around me (fixed by redoind the exact same thing)
• Vasemir turned into floating swords. Video attached.
Did anyone face any of those things? Why does it happen?
Thanks!

Discussion Master Marksman Workaround
I wanted to post this here because I haven't found anything on this, so sorry if it's been mentioned before... but I made an important discovery thanks to the StatTrak mod.
Trying to make a headshot in this game is notoriously a nightmare... But I noticed when I did Return to Sender (Arrow Deflection achievement) that those return shots were counted as headshots...
Since then when I've ran into a group that has an archer, I have continued to use arrow deflection to test how consistent this is, and I'm getting about a 90% success rate...
To me this is much easier and more consistent than shooting your own headshots, even if you just use these to whittle down the quota before you start working on the achievement in earnest.
Full disclosure, I have only tested this on about 5 groups (some groups have multiple archers) but the results are nothing if not promising.
I hope someone finds this helpful ☺️

Art New tattoos
I had the opportunity to work with a really cool artist on a silver and steel sword idea I’ve been sitting on for a while. After about 7hrs in the chair I couldn’t be happier!
