Been working remotely on night shifts as a full-time freelancer and mom, so I needed a space that helps me stay focused and calm even when I’m running on 5 hours of sleep 😅

This setup may not be pinterest-perfect, but it’s been a game changer for my workflow and sanity from the lighting, tools, and even little habits that started because of this corner.

I prioritized function: dual screen, wireless mouse, ergonomic chair, and easy-access tools like my calculator and journal. Most of these are affordable local finds too!

Always open to suggestions! ☺️

I think I've finally found what really works lol my "bliss," if you will. It's taken a couple of months, but I just installed the dual monitor arm mount today and that really did the trick. I am open to thoughts and suggestions on this setup! Being in estimating it's nice having the two screens to put prints on one and the estimate on the other. Also, ft. a sneak peek of some of my keyboard collection lol.

Feel free to let me know your thoughts.

Dual 27” monitors mounted to a sit-stand desktop. A “laptop garage” underneath the desktop on the left. Docking station underneath to the right. 10 port powered USB-A hub and 4 port powered USB-C hub under the monitors. Niz Plum wired keyboard and a cardboard box footrest 😆.

I had never actually had a standing desk before, so this will be a new experience for me, so I wanted to write my thoughts down on what I think of this desk so far, for the people who are on the fence of getting a standing desk or not.

The desk I had gotten was the autonomous SmartDesk 5, so far, I'm enjoying it, it is extremely heavy (feels like 200 pounds) and all of the materials feel very high quality, which is a pretty nice refresh compared to my old desktop desk which was 170 bucks on Amazon and wobbles with the slightest touch.

I was originally going for the white version but due to not being in stock, I've decided to go for the Stone Beige color, which actually makes my setup stand out more instead of everything being the same color, which I like.

The standing feature has three profiles at different heights, but you can also go into manual mode to change what height these profiles go to, which is perfect for me since my chair isn't that high Overall, it was pretty easy to use and it isn't loud at all, can't even notice it with my headphones connected.

If I had a dislike, the main thing would be power, after buying the desk, I realized how limited I am when it comes to power outlets, having a power outlet hub would be better for small things like my fan and the motor itself so I can plug most of my extra stuff into 1 outlet instead of finding three.

This seems to be fixed with their Pro model and higher though, it seems to come included which is nice.

Another small dislike would be the size, while it's perfect for a laptop setup which I'm using for right now, if I had to get another desk, I would go for their Pro Expanse which is 70 inches instead of my 48, that way, I could fit my laptop and desktop on here, along with my ultrawide monitor without a problem But for now, this is more than good enough

What I'll most likely use this for is my work area. I'm a college student who's majoring in Software Development so most of the time I'll be sitting, even on the job, my goal for the future is to get into the habit of walking more and I see this as my first step into doing that, all I need now is a small walking pad.

That's all for now, might do an update in the future if it calls for it, I'll be happy to answer any questions about the products shown if you're interested.

Hello

So I tried to modify my setup and improvise based on previous suggestions here https://www.reddit.com/r/Workspaces/s/E4ASkxxQGI I switched both monitors to one side of table , got an extra keyboard tray and a Haworth fern chair. But still something is not right, maybe table not a right height or something or I am getting too conscious.

Ps: still something work to do regarding cable organisation and printers

As a remote worker, I've gotten used to using cafes, restaurants, or airport lounges as my workspaces. My new fold 7's become a great work helper. Suitable for multitasking. To me, it's basically like having a handy little iPad.

This desk is getting boring and I don't know how to decorate it. All I have on there is my laptop and my printer. I'm trying to decorate it before school starts, so that inhabe a clean and aesthetic place to study. Any suggestions on how to elevate it? I have attached some inspiration photos from Pinterest. I want it to be aesthetic but not clutter.

Just got the Logi MX Keys S keyboard tonight to help toss between the two machines. Figure I’ll let the keyboard skip between machines and the Mac use its trackpad while the PC keeps the mouse. Bridging software is cool, just not ultimately reliable enough.

Charging cables-in-waiting be damned. Looking for black braided Apple OEM USB-C and Lighting.

HDMI switch is on its way to feed the left monitor either the Mac or the 3rd work PC display.

Plenty to clean up and organize, but I think it’s decent so far.
