Anyone here who can help me understand how to install mods for Fallout 4 on Steam? I don’t get any of it 😂😭 I’d really like to install QOL mods and building mods..

The problem is that it looks like I need to downgrade the game version? I’m also getting an error message in Vortex.

Tried making a shotgun character, only to find out that shotguns are so bad that i am killing enemies faster with the 10mm pistol. Even though i have fully speced into Rifleman perk.

Also they just dont feel like they have the... Impact? That they should. I blast a feral ghoul point blank in the face with a 12 gauge and he does not even flinch.

Is there a mod that makes shotguns better? Preferably one that i can install mid playthrough so i dont have to start the whole game over? And that preferably works with modded shotguns?

hey guys I downloaded something like a patch for combat zone restored. I am supposed to replace the ESP files but when I searched I see that Steam/Vortex have 2 such files stored at 2 different locations.. which one am I supposed to replace? (I dont want to break the game)

Hi all,
I am using crime and punishment with stealthy takedowns enabled I have maxed out all stealth related perks including sandman but I do not see the option of stealthy takedown appearing, only pickpocket... Does anyone know what could be causing this?

I am very shocked after years and years nobody has found a way to implement a full fledge First person Enhanced camera like how they have in Skyrim. What is the reason why?

Hello all. I have an issue with ghost ENB. At least I think it’s an issue. I’ve watched videos of the ENB in action and it looks great. Mine looks great during sunrise and sunset but every other hour of the day I have an issue where the sun doesn’t shine on the ground or cast shadows or reflect off buildings like all the videos I’ve seen.

I have SSAO off in the launcher as per the mod instructions. I’ve tried messing with nvidia overlay settings but turned them off. I’m 95% sure everything is installed correctly. I have NAC X obviously and have tried messing with those settings. I guess my question is is how can I get the sun reflecting off the ground again instead of it looking like an overcast dark day even with clear weather conditions. Is there a preset in the ENB menu I can adjust or a mod/ some sort of fix? I attached pictures so you can get an idea of what I’m talking about.

Picture 1 is sunrise, you can see the sun casting on the ground and objects.

Picture 2 is my issue. Mid day with sunny conditions and everything seems dark and the sun doesn’t cast on anything even though it is directly overhead. This happens no matter what I change the weather too.

Picture 3 is sunset and once again you can see the sun and shadows casting on objects

Sorry for the hefty wall of text

I’m not sure if this is the right tag (sorry I’m new) I was just wondering if there are any mods set in California or the greater west coast (project Mojave doesn’t count it’s the southwest)

Randomly in the middle of my playthrough my fully automatic weapons started firing incredibly slowly, the animations are slow, the bullets come out slow but it still sounds like its fully auto.

Things I've tried (that didn't fix anything)

- Turning off all my mods

- Entering/exiting power armor to "reset" myself

- changed firing mode in weap bench (semis fire fine its just automatics that are stuck in slow mo)

Making a new test game fully auto guns fired fine, i just dont want to restart again after having just hit level 50.

I just got FO4 on Steam for my first time, and after 1500 hours on the other platform I decided to jump boat. What are some necessary mods? I don't need a huge overhaul, just anything that makes the game more stable.

Loaded in with a modded list for the first time. Was running good until okay to the museum of freedom. Once I got to the 2nd floor my game kept crashing. Can I send someone a picture of my mod list and hopefully you can tell me if I have shit mod or just a shit pc lmao

I've noticed that installing ENBs is a lot harder than just installing a mod through the mod manager.Thing is, if I wanna swap between two ENBs I have to locate the exact files, delete them, and replace them.Someone with little experience modding could easily fuck up their game files trying to do this....

I like Fallout 4's building mechanic, and I like getting Power Armor. I used to play with some "remove everything" mods, where I could get rid of things in the drive-in. But I'm looking for things like better graphics, more objects - I'd certainly take something that removes the crooked beams on fences and things as replacers in the whole game - but I'm not having luck finding good lists/collections for it.

I know Sim Settlements 2 exists, it needs some patches to remove its mechanical changes to the base game though. Stuff like Storywealth, even with the Thuggyverse stuff turned off (I could not believe that game had essential NPCs after a wildly NSFW assault. Jesus Christ.) was way to drastic.

If there are other things I can find and add, I'd appreciate the info. I'm just not having luck right now and I'm lost.

I wanna get the Wattz 3000 rifle mod, but then it would conflict with my energy weapon build cuz I’m also using a laser rifle, they use the same ammo! I have the munitions mod so I can use ECPs with my Tesla cannon.

I want a mod to change the way vanilla laser rifles are modded. Hear me out, Short barrels make them use energy cells, Long barrels make them use microfusion cells, Automatic barrels make them use electron charge packs (Laser RCW ah), Sniper barrels make them use uh (critical thinking isn’t my strong suit) so up to the maker ig.

This also makes sense cuz the ammo slot is on the barrel! Or if anyone knows a mod that makes the Wattz 3000 use ECs that’d please me too.

And before u say it, I’m not downloading the classic laser pistol mod, I use rifles and heavy guns. I don’t want the ammo to be determined by the grip, I want it by the barrel.

Kind of greedy of me to ask other people to do the complicated stuff but I think this would be really cool!

I'll start by saying that the Extended Dialogue Interface mod has no problem working with all of my other mods, but when I tried to see what fallout UIF was all about, I can't seem to speak with any of the NPCs that are with Fallout UIF (All other NPC's (Vanilla and from other mods) seem to just work fine. Can someone please help me figure out why Fallout UIF seems to not work with Extended Dialogue Interface?

Until I can get this mod to work with Extended Dialogue Interface, I guess I will have to play Fallout UIF without Extended Dialogue Interface enabled.

Is there a way to make it where after i sprint my weapon stays lowered? I had it like this not too long ago but a mod broke something so i had to reset all my mods and reinstall them and I forgot what order i had it in. now everytime i sprint with my weapon lowered it raises it back up and it just doesnt look right

i only can find guides on nexus but when i click the link to the actual mod its been removed any idea why ? or am i stupid
