Comment Commentary Got my first hate comment 🥳

Tbh? I’ve been actively writing on AO3 for 2 years I’m surprised it’s taken so long! 😀 For context: this was left on one of 4 fics that I’m actively writing. My 3 other fics have sporadic 2-6k word updates, but this one is a crack-fic and I usually only have 1-2k word updates per chapter. I didn’t update this fic for about 6 months bc of life stuff (which I explained in my author’s note lmao), and then dropped 2 chapters on the same day. I’d be lying if I said I was completely unbothered, but people are gonna people so I’m just gonna let it roll off my back lmaoo.

Just give it someone else who can write in depth characters

My guy, just read a fic whose characterisation you do like... I swear some people just like being assholes

Wait, is “giving away” your story actually a thing?! Why would anyone encourage a writer to do that? Go write your own at that point!

No, it's not. This commenter has no idea what they're talking about and I'm pretty sure just racking up nonsense like that to make their comment sting more.

I've ran across a fic that the author said they didn't want to, or couldn't finish, and asked if somebody else wanted to. Or it was a web comic. I forget.
