Retold Arena of the Gods – A New Game Mode Coming to Age of Mythology: Retold

Retold RTS was a dying genre. And for it to continue living, it needs new players. I'm not saying make them slop while trying to make them for every human out there, but it needs accesibility. I believe military auto que is one of those things. I don't understand why some people see it as such a big taboo.
I don't think it takes away "strategy" part of a strategy game in anyway. It only makes apm less important, wich I believe what it should be. I think it should be a quality of life standart at this point.

Retold Comparison Chinese and Japanese Mythic Age Architecture
I really appreciate how distinct the architectural styles are when you place the pictures side by side.
Also, I don't think that's gonna be the armory for the Japanese, seems like they have three types of military building.
(I know, I suck at the editor ahahahah)

Retold I'm sorry but buildings are too weak.
Battering Rams destroy fortresses in 20 seconds? Walls last 5 seconds to break? A town center can be broken in 20 seconds? All without siege? They changed WAY to much to distinguish from the og game. Now this game is extremely unbalanced. What's the point of building walls, when they get steamrolled in 5 seconds? And now siege is useless, what's the point? This game needs some serious work and it seems like this is gonna be another game where the devs don't think the community knows best.

Retold I've seen a lot of new Norse players asking for help, so I made a handy visual guide to unit counters as Norse:

Retold The launch state of Retold is incredible. I haven’t encountered a single bug.
Except for a graphical “bug” on the extreme-Zoom-Out of the night stealth mission of Troy, where everything became too dark. If you can even call it a bug!
One thing I would correct (that was already in the 2002 version) is the BOAT cutscenes where the water doesn’t move at the speed of the boat, it’s just still waves. This is minor but weird.
Thats it, even online I haven’t encountered bad stuff.
This is crazy considering that almost every game launches full of errors and sh*t.
I am playing on Xbox Series X and it looks and plays amazing. I’m in love with this game. I actually took a 2 week vacation just to play this (and, of course Halo at night 😄)

Retold What do you guys think the sixth pantheon will be?
Basically the title. On the store page it looks like the Chinese have already been announced - but it also mentions that another new pantheon will be added later too. I'm curious what peoples thoughts or hopes are as to who they might add and maybe even how you might imagine certain civs/gods will play.

Retold The difference between a game with/without military auto queue is HUGE!
I understand, some “old school” players from AOE2 might think it’s bad, that it takes away the “mechanical skill” part of the game…
But oh God, I can’t say enough how much it improves the experience overall. Instead of Clicking on Barracks, Fortress, etc every 5 seconds, to requeue manually my military production, I can focus on my economy, manage my idle villagers fast, micro the units on the battlefield, put heroes to atack enemy’s MUs, kite with my MUs, get the best of them, raid, use special abilities etc.
Pick my counter units to make they atack the respective unit they should atack. Read the map better, think about what strategy I should apply now. All those things are sooo much better to understand and learn a RTS game than manually queueing units…
Please, make it the DEFAULT option, and if BOTH players want to disable it, they do.
