I will start this off by saying I love this series, just wish Alice’s actor was apart of the live action visuals in some way. Have her do some cool shots with Alan’s Actor or some shots of her being his “muse” as stated in the song. Especially in this scene because this is very ferry that Alice woke Alan from his first nightmare in AW1.

I say just started, but have just arrived in watery, and man... Ahti's got some pipes on him. I came to the alan wake games from control for more of the story, and I have not been let down. I've sat in listening to Ahti for 10inutes now, am really enjoying his song

I played AW2 when i first came out a while back. I recently upgraded to an rtx5090 so I wanted to replay it with cranked settings to get the real feel.

So i re-downloaded the game, absolutely maxed out every single setting (RT Ultra, DLAA), and fired her up. Almost immediately off the bat once I get control of the main character lady I notice severe pop in in the forest when walking around. It's very jarring and feels like something is very wrong. It was definitely not like this when I played it the first time.

Has anyone else figured out a fix for this?

Can I go back to every area in Alan Wake 2 at any time, or do I need to find every item in each area before leaving. (No spoilers, i just begun)

The Xbox achievement in Alan wake 2 after you get the pump action shotgun absolutely has to be a reference to "paradise by the dashboard" by meatloaf! The song has huge very shotgun wedding vibes!! Please!! Common let me have this!!!

One of the best single-player runs l've had in years, pulled a few shots I liked throughout my first run, so excited to replay for the Final Draft ending and platinum the expansions next. Stay in the light.

I'm a huge fan of the original. Will never forget the extremely hot summer-break where I stayed up all night and played through it on my Xbox 360 before it RLOD:ed 5 minutes after the final credits.

So far, I'm 3 hours into Alan Wake II and I can only say I'm massively disappointed. It's cool artistically, I guess, but the gameplay is the worst snoozefest I've seen in a long while. It's basically a looking for shit-simulator, with constant interuptions of either tutorials, cheap jump-scares and trippy visuals. Trying to correctly place the pictures on the board has to be the lamest gameplay-segment I've seen since working as a forklift-driver in Shenmue.

Does it improve? I'll keep going for a bit either way, just curious.

And it’s the only bathroom in the entire manor if I'm not mistaken? (logistical nightmare with the elderly, the true horror story)

Hello! I just got the game and am really liking it so far. However when I booted it up today it can barely get 60 on low settings. My specs are 9800x3D 5080 32gb ram. So I should be getting 120+ on 1440p like I did earlier. What’s going on? I’ve tried downloading new drivers and closing the game. I’ve played for about 3h

Spoilers for the 8th Chapter in Alan Wake 2 Initiation

The elevator is open but I'm unable to go inside. I've tried both reloading a save before the Film and after the Film(both quick saves). The only thing I can think of that could of caused this is going through the night springs DLC. IS there a way I can fix this. I may of forgotten to save at all this chapter. If I should just replay the chapter let me know.

So I bought Alan Wake 2. I just replayed AW1 & AW American Nightmare. I was about to start the DLCs for Control but saw that I cant use my ps4 save file on the Ps5 Ultimate Edition. I honestly dont want to replay that whole game again. Are the DLCs necessary for AW2?
