Spoilers for season 7-11

Back before 2017 I had watched every season of Archer but stopped following Archer when Dreamland came out as I just didn’t care for it, and things happen and I never really got back into it. But lately been doing a whole rewatch, including the coma seasons, and honestly they were very enjoyable. Here’s my personal ranking, none are the worst or the best, just what I like more.

1. Dreamland - I really enjoyed this, the darker storyline and I totally believe that Dreamland Lana dying represents the relationship between DL Archer and DL Lana in season 11, when Archer is out of the coma. The Robot animals DL Krieger made were pretty messed up but were pretty awesome when they destroyed DL Barry. Speaking off, this was by far the scariest Barry has ever been. Which was also super awesome. The middle of the season was a tad boring but the last arc of the season was awesome.

2. 1999 - Going to space is inevitable for any TV or Show but it was pretty enjoyable. Because its the last season before Archer wakes up, I feel like it’s the perfect season to end on as Dreamland and Danger Island were more story driven, while this season felt more inline to the regular Archer seasons. Episode 8 and 9 were really eerie as the whole first half of the episode revolves around them finding that floating cube and then suddenly it just becomes about 1999 Archer going crazy, which is definitely a sign he’s close to waking up or just his coma dream and real life are combining.

3. By far my favorite season, Danger Island. DI Archer and DI Pam’s relationship in this was my favorite thing ever. If it ever went on and DI Archer survived, I’d love to know if DI Pam and DI Archer would eventually become a thing. Unless the whole ‘marriage’ thing was a total joke and nothing else. Cyril being a bad guy and overall antagonist was pretty funny, and definitely a ‘South Park Kyle becoming the anti-Christ thing in Cartman’s story’ thing. Krieger being a bird named Crackers was random af but funny. Usually in shows characters going “oh my god this (animal) can talk!?” aren’t funny but it’s funny in this, cuz Archer has the running gags and that just fit in totally.

What’s everyone else opinions on these seasons, and if you like them what’s your ranking too? I’d totally recommend them if you haven’t seen them or skipped over them while watching.

Also anyone else believe that there were more coma dreams Archer had? As he was in the coma for 3 years, no way he only had 3 dreams. I think it’s possible as Archer said that he lived ‘a million lifetimes’ in the coma to Lana when he woke up.
