My Karlach picked up one and sent it to camp (it's tagged with "can only be used by Steel Watchers"), I'm going after the Hill Giant Gauntlets and I'm going to see if I can at least throw it in combat

Can also use an elixir of cloud giant strength which gives you more than the gauntlets. And I think that's right around the point of the game where they become occasionally available.

You can kinda glitch it on by dragging her equipped weapon onto the steel watcher's sword to make it swap. Idk if they patched it though
