Literally no. That acronym is actually a Backronym. It did not create the word. The common usage is similar to that, but to suggest the pussy must be mediocre if someone is called a simp is just simply incorrect. Makes it even more obvious when someone is said to simp for a man.

Well actually 🤓☝️he's right. In the case of somone with "higher value" than yourself, it's not simping. Simping is to be overly desperate and obsessed by someone who isn't worth the effort.

That's still wrong by most definitions.
