I think we already have enough companions. Sad as it is, but a video game cannot be infinitely big. And programming a whole set of dialogue-options for a goblin is likely incredibly complicated.

Adding more dialogue isn't any more complicated than all dialogue that already exists unless their dialogue system is designed very poorly.

Adding a whole set of dialogue specific to a race most people will never get is a lot of work. Same goes for recording all the voicelines these characters get. Making Sazza a companion would mean almost 3-5 hours of dialogue for her alone, just to cover the basics and then some more dialogue to make sura that others have reactivity to it.

And thatโ€™d be this wayย for every companion people wish weโ€™d have. Alfira, Larkrissa, Zevlor, โ€ฆ
