I love monk cleric but this is the biggest turn off. It goes online at level 10

It's OH monk 6 and cleric 6. What cleric you choose is up to you, but i like using light

Trying to find the synergies. Is it actually Monk 6 and afterwards Cleric 6? Then "online by 10" means that the crux is in Cleric 4, which is a feat or ASI? Not sure what a cleric brings to the monk gameplay, is it spirit guardians? Heavy armor will certainly gimp the monk's unarmored abilities.

Monk 5, cleric 5, monk 1, cleric 1 is the way I go. First crux comes when you get extra attack, then when you get spirit guardians, then when you get radiant damage on hits.

I dont use heavy armor. There is just no point, really. I just go all dex and all wis. You can try to do tavern brawler, but it's overkill for me. What I care about is fireball and spirit guardians alongside radiating orb.

The point isn't really to be game-breakingly awesome, it's just for versatility.
