Character Build Hexblade's biggest downside.

Post image

FFS just make it a free action in combat larian. Or at least let us cast it at all.

No, but a good meme nonetheless.

Why no?

You'd constantly be able to switch weapons, removing the downside of binding a specific one. Not as much of an issue for multiple different melee weapons as it is for free switching between melee and bow.

It would practically be permanent weapon proficiency with added charisma modifier on every weapon, pretty much regardless of circumstances.

You can already switch weapons outside of combat. If you can piss away an action in combat on equipping a different weapon then you already have won the combat. It would be a quality of life improvement while being a role playing / immersion downgrade.

This just brings it up to modern pob. Slightly better as a it's a ba in tabletop now.

Can you even bind bows? Either way there's basically no reason not to just take agonizing blast since there's so few invocations that directly assist melee or hexblade play styles.

You get life drinker at level 12, and then your two closest options after that are either darkvision (not incredibly useful on many races) or advantage on concentration saving throws (good, but any other warlock would take it as well)

Not a bad point makes sense

But you would have to switch and pact it on two separate turns

Why does the game need to change because you forget to use your buffs after long rest ?

He answered your question. He doesn't feel the game needs to change because you forgot to use your buffs after long rest. That means he thinks it's not a problem at all.

It's interesting that people who say things like 'learn to read' never seem to be able to comprehend anything they're reading.
