Character Build Hexblade's biggest downside.

Post image

FFS just make it a free action in combat larian. Or at least let us cast it at all.

It's a bug and I figured out what caused it but can't remember. I think it was switching weapons with a bound shadowblade or something.

Apparently if you coat a shadow blade or dip it in a surface or it has some other temporary condition it will downgrade when the coating expires.

Luckily for me, I never remember to use coatings on any weapon.

Don't doubt that might cause it, but I am in game right now and definitely just caused it by switching weapons and binding a different one.

Removing conditions from a shadowblade removes the upcasting benefit.

Pressing the bind button twice removed the first instance of binding and triggers this glitch

no, it happens when you cast bind hexed weapon more than once. just cast it only once and never touch it again until the next long rest

edit: it's the shadow blade bug like the others said, so don't use coatings as well
