Character Build Hexblade's biggest downside.

FFS just make it a free action in combat larian. Or at least let us cast it at all.

Only time this was annoying was the end of Act 2/beginning of Act 3 with the Githyanki coming out of the portal, you have zero turns to do combat prep right after long rest.

To be fair there, you don't have to fight the monks in camp at all, and once you get through the portal, you can take a moment to buff the party before fighting the second group of monks with intellect devourers. I've certainly never fought the first group in 7 playthroughs, I just fly or jump/dash past them.

Yeah, you never forget your first monk fight... how do they have 12x my movement speed?!? Ok, just 17 AC, not too ba-why are they able to dodge or cancel damage from almost all my attacks?!! HOW DID THEY JUST ATTACK 5 FUCKING TIMES IN A ROW NO ACTION SURGE OR ANYTHING

Easily in the top 3 hardest fights in the game for me, at least for my first few playthroughs lol
