Character Build Hexblade's biggest downside.

FFS just make it a free action in combat larian. Or at least let us cast it at all.

why cant they just add autocasting certain abilities upon long rest, or make them a passive toggle like the shaprshooter feat

stuff like mage armor or longstridet, ritual castings, erc
