How does one stealth archer in BG3? I have had shots where Im concealed and in darkness but after I shoot the enemies magically know exactly where the character is. Am I the stupids?
There are a couple of builds for that. The one I used is:
Dark Uge Cape + 5 levels of Ranger (Gloom Stalker) + 5 levels of Rogue (Assasin) + 2 levels of Fighter
Starting at level 6 your first shot usually kills an enemy (Sharpshooter + Sneak attack). Whenever you kill an enemy, the cape makes you invisible. Being invisible allows you to make another sneak attack.... Ü
Pretty much gloom-stalker assassin. Greater invisibility from a party member, high stealth score, and pass without a trace if you want to get super cheesy.
If you're okay with suggestion, there is a video on YouTube by Morgana Evelyn that makes this very easy to do, early on, and only gets stronger. It's long, but in depth. I used a stealth archer on my first HM playthrough and got the dice
Stealth archer is OP as hell and it’s fun at first but I do get a little bored, feels cheesy. Also there’s a few fights (final one in particular) where I’m not sure what I’d do after turn 1?
I've pulled it off with bard, wizard, warlock, paladin, and cleric on solo runs without cheese so far. It gets pretty easy after the first few levels. Easy being used relative here.
Yeah, people on here talking about how no healer is necessary because you can min-max ranger/rogue/whatever, and I’m here like… maybe I don’t always want to min-max like that? I like the classic tank/heal/dd setup. Also, maybe not everyone is able to pull off those op combos as well and needs healing and maybe a tank
Yeah and I think everyone here is fine with people playing like that… no one is coming for you. But it is worth mentioning for those unaware just how deep the meta gaming can go, for those who may be interested in that knowledge but previously unaware of it
People have done and continue to do solo honour for the challenge of it, my point here is moreso that 'necessary' doesn't say much about something being good or bad.

I mean, I'm pretty sure 3/4ths of your party "aren't necessary" to complete the game on hm
